If Pavlik and Abe don't fight at MW I ain't particulary interestedin it at SMW.At MW it would be everything at stake,at SMW it's irrelevant.

Well, 'sources' tell us Pavlik is probably expecting Abraham in June. I don't doubt that is Pavlik's wish. I also have no doubts about Abraham. That leaves promoters.

quick edit based on TFFP's comment

Come June, the stars align once again that allows for this fight to happen. They are fighting relatively close together so both should be available for that date. If they have fights in between, they could drift further apart again.

Abraham ... the fight of the receeding hair lines ...

I take Abraham right now ... Pavlik is good but he's not going to beat Abraham ... Abraham is undefeated ... a champion himself and now has a KO victory on US soil. I'm sure he would come in that fight with extreme confidence and looking for a late rounds stoppage.

I'm not sure about Pavlik's chin either ... he has good boxing skill but he's been rocked far hard a few times and i'm not sure given the right guy he'd be able to survive.

Team Pavlik haven't seen him take a beating yet --

True that. I remember the "Wild Ride" it was getting Calzaghe vs. Kessler finally made and done. Jeeez, was that ever a crazy bunch of bull ****. Seemed to go on for ever and ever and ever too.

Duddy is fighting at Junior Middleweight and I read that TopRank was looking to match him up with Chavez Jr.

I don't know why there's so much hype around Chavez Jr. --

He's not at that level yet - I like the progress that he's made but I don't think he can compete on the world class stage. He has a ways to go ...

He has a ways to go before he takes a major step up in class ... I didn't understand why they wanted to put him in the ring with DLH ... he would've gotten destroyed.

oh my god you know how to put a downer on things!!!

I think with or without belts AA is a legit challenger to the supposed throne of KP. So thats all i care about.

Forget sturm he seems to be content in staying put and frankly has not put himself out there to the boxing world since the ODLH loss.

Maybe if AA had fought J. Taylor and B. Hopkins above 160 like Pavlik did, he'd have been rocked pretty good a few times too? WTF are you smokin' anyways with that ****? I seem to remember Miranda TKO'ing AA in round 5 of a fight, but somehow that turned out to be a 10 minute break, and a survival deal. Props to AA for surviving, but he said he wanted to quit. Then when his team realized he'd lose his belt..TKO 5 to Miranda, he carried on. But if that's not rocked, atleast to the point of any rocking Pavlik has taken, I don't know what to tell you.

TopRank would be looking to solidify Kelly Pavlik's championship status ... and what good way to do that than to add another strap --

I'm sure that Abraham's team would love to take that fight ... and I wouldn't be surprised if there would be alot of money involved if the fight were in Germany ... hell I'm sure that Pavlik can get a generous portion of the purse.

I wish Felix Strum would get some balls and fight Abraham ... on US TV ... then set up the winner to fight Pavlik for his undisputed title.

Well it's to bad for all of us that Bob Arum won't let this fight ever happen. I believe he stated that outside of hardcore fight fans like us no one knows who Aurthur Abraham is and so there's no money in a fight with him.

Well I guess I have to ask then...who outside of boxing fans knows who Kelly Pavlik is or John Duddy for that matter? The only boxers whose names transcend the sport and it's fans are legends like Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, and fighters of that caliber. Mention any of those names to so called "casual" fans or even people who have never watched a fight and they'll know who you're talking about. If I mentioned the name Kelly Pavlik, only boxing fans are going to know who that is.

My point? Arum's words couldn't be more false. Arum is protecting his meal ticket so to speak and doesnt want Pavlik messing with Aurthur. It's beating a dead horse but man, this is the kind of crap that really keeps the sport from thriving and pulling in more fans. The best fights are no longer made because greedy promoter will lie and do whatever else it takes to keep their guys on top. I wish there were rules regarding unification bouts that would force these kinds of fights. Arum sucks.

Excuse me, sir, but are you really gonna try and say SUPPOSED throne of KP's?? Holy HELL!! Do you disagree that he legitimately TKO 7'd Jermain Taylor, the Undisputed MW Champion of the World? The same JT that had beaten X 2 Bernard Hopkins, who held ALL 4 major world titles at the time (THE Only man to ever accomplish this in any division, aside from JT by default?)? Got dayum, AA wouldn't even have a title if Jermain didn't vacate the damned thing, Sturm either for that matter.:patsch

    Puff..puff..give. Good lord.

Don't get me wrong - I like Pavlik but he was rocked against Taylor at 160 ... he wasn't hurt too bad the second time around ... he just recieved a bit of a boxing lesson.
Against B-Hop he was buzzed, but if that was someone else ... he would've been knocked out.

You seen what happened in the second fight between Abraham and Miranda ...

That dude fought 7 rounds straight with a severely broken jaw ...

Pavlik has no defense for the right hand ... he doesn't throw the left hook enough ... or the uppercut.
