Haha yes I am because since jermaine beat hopkins he drew against winky and fought guys that were not mandatories but welters and light middles. For christ sake he had a SD with corey spinks who couldnt KO anyone at welter let alone middle and got KO'd by ZAB!!

And since pavlik won a diluted version of this acolade he has fought dear old gary lockett.

So yes while i cannot deny he is the no.1 i feel he has not been tested as he has fought twice above the 160 limit and fought a ****ing **** fighter in lockett.

1st, who JT fought after he beat the Undisputed 4 belt champ in Hopkins, has **** to do with the fact that he's still the lineal and Undisputed MW champ. You are right, he couldn't keep up with the mandatories for 4 friggin belts, so hail to Sturm and AA for getting to fight cans for Vacant Straps.

Now, 2nd KP did fight one of his MANDATORIES in Gary Lockett, 30-1 at the time, and ranked the #1 MW by the WBO and #1 MW in the UK according to UK's Boxing Monthly. It is NOT Pavlik's fault dude wasn't even near his level. KP HAD to fight JT again, as was part of the contract to fight him in the first place. Then if you can try to discredit him for having the guts to go up to LHW and try out ol' Mr. Hopkins, you sir are nutty as squirrel ****.

Now while this was all taking place, tell of the historic battles and ATG's that AA was facing, you know to instill into you all this confidence that he is truly the man and Pavlik is setting on a "Supposed" throne.

Elcock, Ayala (Guarantee you Gary Lockett would whip Ayala's ass:deal)? Who?

And one more thing Box3er86, is the 86 stand for the year you were born? If so, you're too young to have cried the day Appollo Creed died. So you can't talk about him either.:bart

Well have you ever seen lockett fight or seen his record. His promoter is in bed with the WBO and britain has no decent MW's atm.

But my view point is that how long do people want to hold that win over JT for? he has a legit contender to the no.1 position and the longer they both hold out the more ridiculous it gets.

Arum should never have moved him to 170, and pushed for AA. And yes AA has not fought world beaters at 160 but at least he has made more than 1 defense of his title which is my point its 160 im on about and therefore AA is a legit threat to this throne hopkins accumulated through winning these 4 belts.

160 is the rule...right. OK. Got ya' now. At what weight did AA just beat E. Miranda on US soil again? I can't remember?

If I'm pavlik's manager I say you take on Duddy and wait a year or two to build his confidence back up before you go taking on a monster like AA. Also by then AA will probably be even more drained at the wieght then he already is.

:D Just messin' with ya, it's all good. The prob though my man, is the ABC's. Pavlik is NOT ranked by the IBF and AA is NOT ranked by either the WBC or the WBO. Ya' feel me? As far as Ring rankings, yes AA is stepping right on Pavlik's toes, the #1 man to the Champ. But the Ring can't and won't enforce mando's, so this has to go down between the Promoters and hopefully public demand (which as you know, is what promoters are supposed to pay attention to).

It's up to Pav and AA to sort this shiz out, because it can't be FORCED on either one of them. Unless one of them gives up their ****, and climbs the ranks of whatever sanction body to get a mando shot at the other.

Now we can just both go bang our head on the wall until this **** gets worked out. Deal?

I never once mentioned miranda as i am well aware of that fact.

But AA has made more defenses at 160.

Im just saying that this guy has a claim to the 'throne' and i want to see them get it on. If things were to stay the same 10 fights on and none of the 3 champs fought then we would still be having the same debate.

personally i think KP beats AA unless AA can KO KP or somehow stop using his turtle shell tactics for so long in a round!

    DEAL.

I have read somewhere that AA is struggling to make the weight, and i hope they get it on at 160 asap cos sturm is a dick as far as im concerned. since his loss to ODLH i think he feels screwed so will try do a sven ottke for as long as poss.

I see where your comin from tho :yep

Bob Arum signed Duddy to a 3-fight deal after his contract dispute with Irish Ropes was resolved. Many of the big promoters were after Duddy so i presume Arum promised him a shot at Pavlik.Arum is the one who keeps pushing the Pavlik/Duddy fight - easy money for him and Pavlik goes on to fight AA later in the year. Its all about the money folks

The idead that there would be big $$$$ for this fight in Germany is an internet myth. AA makes around $700K per fight.

Now you're speaking The Bob Father's native tongue:yep To often boxing fans absolutley refuse to think like promoters even for a moment. Consequently very few have stopped to consider how freaking huge Pavlik/Duddy would be at MSG. The Pavlik Nation would follow Kelly from Youngstown, but they'd have to fight the Duddy Clan for tickets!

It's also true that Arum has always said he would like to feature AA on a Pavlik undercard. Giovanni Lorenzo is a popular New York based fighter with a decent following. He'll probably be Arthur's next mandatory. If you could put AA/Lorenzo on with Pav/Duddy at MSG, that **** is BOX OFFICE, and it would do decent PPV numbers. . Pavlik and Abraham come away looking like Godzilla and King Kong, everybody makes money, and KP/AA is now a boxing event rather than just another fight hardcore fans want.
