As ridiculous as that sounds, I would not be surprised one bit to see that

Takam. Easy fight to make. Credible opponent. Good comparison fight

Essentially, anyone who hasn't already lost to Wilder, Joshua or Parker.

If a boxer has already fought against any of those three, and lost, pick someone else.

That goes for all three of them.

They need to unify, or fight new contenders. They don't need to engage in "common opponent" fights.

Obviously I’d love it to be AJ next. Maybe it will be. Fingers crossed. If not the Parker.

I can’t see either of those 2 happening next so Takam is a decent choice. Knock him out in style and make a statement.

Takam has lost to everyone. He lost to Joshua. He lost to Parker. He lost to Povetkin. He tied with Mike Perez.

Takam is NOT a decent choice.

A DECENT choice is someone who hasn't already lost to everyone.

Can this "TAKAM train" be over now?

So who would you have him fight then? There really isn’t that many good heavyweights about.

Edit. I just saw your post on the second page. Most of those guys you mentioned have little chance of being made. Haye can barely make it in to the ring these days. Fury is retired. No chance he’s fighting Povetkin or Ortiz after what happened either. So as a realistic option Takam is not bad. Rather him than Whyte.

    I already named them.

    Anthony Joshua
    Luis Ortiz
    Alexander Povetkin
    Tyson Fury
    Joseph Parker

There's five. Here's five more who haven't already lost to one of those three:

David Haye (if he beats Bellew)
    Lucas Browne
    Alexander Ustinov
    Kubrat Pulev
    'Big Baby' Miller

    There's 10.

Or Oleksandr Usyk (once he wins the cruiserweight tourney)

There's 11. And none of them have already been beaten by Joshua, Wilder or Parker.

Anyone but some freaking retread like Takam. Jesus.

The sanctioning bodies are going to throw enough retreads at you to last a lifetie.

How is there no chance of him fighting Povetkin and Ortiz? He's already signed to fight them and been thru training camps preparing to face them. If they can get cleared, those would be the EASIEST fights to make, because they've already been made once already.

I'm glad you guys aren't making the fights. You'd have Parker fighting Stiverne next so you could compare. Then you'd have Stiverne fighting Joshua after that, so you could compare. Then Wilder fights Takam so you could compare and then Wilder fights Cojanu so you could compare. Then Joshua fights Cojanu.

    Enough.

There are PLENTY of heavyweights to fight who haven't already faced the current champs.

The current champs should FACE EACH OTHER. If they can't or won't then fight someone who hasn't already failed against all the names already.

You really think Wilder is going to push for Povetkin or Ortiz next? Wilder was on the first plane back home before they’d even confirmed what had happened and I don’t think Wilder is going to sign to fight Ortiz again considering he’s been caught for doping three times and I don’t blame him for that one either.

And so what if Takam has lost when he’s stepped up? He’s still a credible opponent that is realistic to make. Much better than Stiverne and all his other title defences that’s for sure.
