If Mayweather beats Hatton, regardless of how he beats him who do you believe should receive fighter of the year. Or vica Versa if Hatton beats Mayweather.

    Cotto- TKO Judah, UD Mosley
    Mayweather- SD Hoya, ??? Hatton
    Hatton-- KO Castillo, ?? Mayweather
    Pacman-- KO Solis, UD Barrera
Joe C-- TKO Manfredo, UD Kessler
    Pavlik-- TKO Miranda, TKO Taylor

Unless Ricky Hatton pulls off the upset, then Kelly Pavlik should be Fighter of the Year IMO.

Looking at calibre of opposition i'd have to lean towards Cotto. JC, because of age, doubters, etc. must be very close behind after his win over MK.

its gonna be a tough call thats for sure. I think if Mayweather wins then it should be Mayweather just because I think a W over Hoya is bigger than Miranda and a W over Hatton is bigger than a W over Taylor, definitly make a case either way though. Cotto definitly has an argument also

I woudlnt' say Joe C just because I think the Manfredo fight will hurt him and you can argue that a Floyd win over Hatton is just if not bigger than the Kessler win also i think Cotto and Pavlik's wins over Mosley and Taylor are a little more significant.

    Hatton if he upsets PBF
If Hatton looses...it's either Cotto or Pavlik.

Cotto. Hatton will not win a round against Mayweather and Mayweather hand picked Hatton as an easy win over a name opponent, along with Mayweather's win over a past it DLH, it's not enough.

    Cotto did -

TKO Urkal, TKO Judah, UD a better Mosely than the version of Hoya that Floyd fought.

Next in line would be Calzaghe for being the first Undisputed SMW.

    Then Pavlik.

Probably Pavlik. But a real good case could be made for Cotto. The only other serious candidate to my mind is the winner of PBF-Hatton. Calzaghe would be in the running if one of his fights hadn't been the abortion against Manfredo. The other guys in the running have all faced better over-all competition,

are you saying if Hatton wins he would get it, then why not Floyd if he wins that'll give him Hoya and Hatton which I believe is better wins than Cotto's Judah and Mosley, or Pavlik over Miranda, Taylor. if I had to put them in order i would say Mayweather (if he wins), Pavlik, Cotto, Joe C, Pac. ^^^ just for arguments sake :good
