The 1st time was just bad timing I feel, but this 2nd time was inexcusable.

CEJ was claiming 1 day he wanted to correct BJS and then we find out he turned down the fight later. I'm a big CEJ fan but I can't defend that duck.

Pretty disappointing and I have no idea why he turned it down. He could have fought BJS and won that had more bargaining power to fight GGG. Seem's a bad decision imo.

Maybe they try to build it up more / back up plan for both fighters in case both get a big loss.

Why are GGG and his fans so desperate to fight JMW Canelo? Yet when you mention the name Lara, the guy who should have got the nod over Canelo they dismiss it as a joke. Very strange.

Natural 160 lbers like Eubank and Saunders are much bigger threats.

No idea why Eubank would turn It down. He ruins Saunders in a rematch.

Golovkin is backed up by HBO, so he's the one who would give good paydays to Saunders, Eubank Jr and Jacobs not viceversa !:good:hi:

Do you frequently choose marauding bulls who fight like idiots with no skill over a slick counterpuncher who's excellent at slipping shots.:think I have a feeling this is the only time that rule applies for you.

Why didn't he get KTFO in the first fight then CST? The only reason he lost rounds at all in the first fight was because he didn't throw enough punches in them.

IMO it was due to 2 factors:

    A) He really did underestimate BJS and took a few rounds of thinking he would KO him, he still thought he did enough to win the fight though and so do I.

    B) He was a little bit green at the time and took a big step up in class, as well as the fact that he had never been past hald a dozen rounds so underestimated how good his own stamina was.

He has improved a great deal since that fight and hasn't really lost a round since, maybe 1 against Spike but thats it.

So you're talking out of your ass. There was never an offer for Canelo @155, Canelo himself vacated his title when negotiations was ongoing and GBP stopped contact with K2.

BJS was the one who received an offer and refused the career high payday.(Not that I blame him though, he's not ready yet)

Both Loeffler and Lara's manager said that there was never any official contact between the two teams, so no offer there either.

Source on Eubank Jr being GGG's biggest payday to date? Jr himself recently said that they were negotiating and he directly said " I know Gennady has definitely expressed an interest in fighting me.”

Loeffler also said that Ramirez is an option if they can't get Canelo, Saunders, Jacobs or Eubank next and he took step-aside money from Cotto because Cotto was willing to pay him millions to not fight him. I don't know how you took it as Cotto offered the fight and GGG refused.

I can only concede you on Ward but the rest, you pulled out of your ass.

Huh? Don't pretend BJS beat Eubank convincingly, many people had Eubank winning including one of the judges, I thought he deserved a draw and most people think he beats Saunders in a rematch.

Re BJS: it was Billy Joe Saunders who backed out of the April fight this year. He admitted that GGG offered him "life-changing money", but wanted even more or for GGG to come to the UK. He also admitted that he wasn't ready yet for GGG. You can't blame GGG here.

Chris Eubank Jr, well, obviously Canelo and Saunders (and maybe Jacobs) are higher priorities for GGG so he will explore those possibilities first. If he ends up fighting a nobody in September without offering CEJ a fight first, yes blame GGG. But not yet.

He was cautious because Billy Joe's shots were harder than he thought they'd be, so he waited for him to gas.

You're delusional if you think that caveman won that match.

And he hasn't improved one little bit.

Many Mayweather opponents were completely destroyed by Pacquiao afterwards in far more impressive fashion, and guess what happened when Pac faced Mayweather, he still got schooled. Same applies here. CEJ loses to BJS 5 out of 5 times.
