CEJ is more dangerous than anyone Golovkins faced to date, not sure why anyone would have any complaints. More of a threat than Saunders and Lara as well.

Saunders defeated Lee and Eubank jr. Plus has a belt is in his prime and is a natural 160. He would get my vote.
Canelo is the matchup that brings most money I'm fine with that too. And Jacobs is a solid contender that is the mandatory.

Any of the 3 should be next

Please be free to vote and discuss your pick!

I wonder why GGG's most vocal critics in Pimp C, chacal/el chicano, Blizzy and MVC didn't vote and share their opinons?:think

They can't go on record saying anyone at 160 is a legit opponent. If they did, then GGG fought that person next, they'd have to admit he beat a good opponent.

i voted for jacobs because he can punch a bit.

take canelo and lara off that poll. they aren't middleweights and they can't handle it

Yeah they would probably say GGG has to travel back in time to fight prime Monzon, Hagler, RJJ, Hopkins, Toney and McCallum to prove himself.:nut:patsch

But IMO this current mw division has solid middleweights in Saunders, Jacobs and Eubank Jr. too.:good

Middleweight divsion is very healthy now.
Saunders, Jacobs, Eubank jr, Lemieux, Lee, are all solid contenders. Then you have Triple G who seems to be on the path to ATG status. And you have Canelo a superstar who is too big for the lower weights but is not yet comfortable taking on the best at middle or so it seems.
    Anyway deep division.

I voted Saunders because he had the WBO and holds nice victories over CEJ and Andy Lee.

Everybody on that list is a solid opponent though.

Money and popularity aside, I have it like this...

    1. Saunders
    2. Jacobs
    3. Canelo
    4. Eubank Jr
    5. Lara

Eubank gets slaughtered. The rest could have success though I wouldn't favour any of them. They're the best challenges for GGG. And before the critics bash him for not moving up to 168, the only better fighter there is Degale. Lara, Canelo, Jacobs, Saunders, Degale over the nest 3 years is the best he can do, and would actually stamp his legacy as one of boxing's dominant, great champions.

Well for a start, he isn't more dangerous than most of Golovkins best victories. The likes of Macklin, Lemieux, Stevens, Proksa, Ishida are all more dangerous.

People would complain because Saunders and Lara want the fight and are vocal about it. Both are higher ranked than CEJ. Lara presents an untested style clash and Saunders has already beaten CEJ.

I'd say Eubank Jr is on par with the version of Curtis Stevens that fought GGG.:yep
