To me, Duran.

 

I think Greb has the best record. Whether that's the same as saying he was the greatest I'm not sure.

 

Personally, I think that Duran is the most 'well-rounded' boxer ever. His agressive come forward style and his 'hands of stone' was matched by his awesome defensive skills. A subtle turn of the head, stepping back a half a foot, or in a half a foot meant it was impossible for others to hit him clean. A lightweight who travelled to SMW.

 

I'd agree with that, Duran is certainly the best fighter on tape who is still alive today and probably the most well rounded fighter we have.

 

same here, pacquiao jumped more weight classes but Duran had to gain more weight to go to SMW

Ray Robinson for me too, but why isn't Harry Greb on that list?? He should be on any sane boxing fan's list of potential all-time greats. Harry Greb had undoubtedly the greatest resume in boxing history. He had more wins than ANYONE in the history of the sport and in the year 1919 alone, he went 45-0! He was the World Middleweight Champion and the only man to beat the great Gene Tunney and he beat him to a bloody pulp. Take away Chavez and add Greb and give this poll a lot more credibility. :good
