IB funfact: many people believe the title of Megadeth's song FFF to stand for the phrase "fight for freedom", just because that phrase happens to appear in the lyrics and is an alliteration of f bombs.

They are fools. That is what is known as a 'backronym'.

FFF actually stands for "flashy amd flamboyant forever", and is a tribute to Money Mayweather.

Nevermind that the Cryptic Writings album came out several years before Mayweather adopted the Money persona.

Nevermind also the pesky article "and" in the phrase that some fools would argue ought to make it FAFF.

Dave Mustaine is a prophet, and Money Mayweather is his muse. It is not our place to question Them.

    Zoinks!

Do you think SNV will ever develop a "big head" amd forget about the "little people", ditching the kindly people's champ persona of Sugar Niko in favor of a Money Valuev persona more befitting his lofty status as social elite and Trump-trumping rahrketing genius?

Cotto might be the most hightly regarded, but i dont think he is the best JM.. IMO Paul WIlliams still has a claim to being the real champ.. He has a win over Martinez at JM(controversial) and his loss w for the MW title, he has better wins at 154 and has never lost at that weight... I'd clean up if i could bet all you guys that have a sentimental preference for Cotto.. I thimk hes a little overrated at Jm and i think that has alot to do with his popularity .. I dont think he was overrated s much at WW but alot of people try and forget his losses or his close one with Clottey that could have gone either way.. Cotto is a good dude i like him too, but not to wear i overrate him..... Im sure PW beats him. I also think Angulo would Ko him, Margartio in a rematch.. Id even make unproven but talented youngsters like Canelo and Lara live underderdogs, BUt since hes champ and Margo or Angulo havent had any wins or fights recenlty ill keep Cotto at number 2.

One other thing i didnt know how stacked JM has become there are some solid guys that didnt make the top 10

    1,Paul Williams
    2.Miguel Cotto
    3.Kermit Cintron
4.Alfredo Angulo (q healthy Angulo ko Cintron in a rematch but until he does keep here
5.Antonio Margarito still think he beats higher rated Cotto and CIntron again
    6. Saul Alvarez You might complain cuz hes over Dzin, but hes the goods just watch
7.Sergei Dzunurik a litttle overrated, hasnt done much in last few years.
8.David Lopez gets the nod over Lara,Molina, cause hes been a ranked for quite a while
9.Carlos Molina Spoiler and underrated hes a pretty good fighter. FInally gettin his due
10.Erislandy Lara more talented^ but thought he loss, should be champ one day
11.Cornelius Bundradge maybe he should be here, if he defends vs Powill he leapfrogs
12.Pawel Wolek Tough kid working his way up. Dominated Foreman
13.Corey Spinks Is past it but, lets wait and see if hes has somethin left
14.Sechew Powell Tough contender even match with Bundradge coming up
15.Ricardo Mayorga Yey he loses, but only to the best he still whups alot of guys
16.Austin Trout Like this guy good prospect/Contender
17,Deandre Lattimore Good fighter loses razor close decisions
18,Nobuhiro Ishida Wanted to put im higher but lets see another big win
19.Vanes Matryosian Got gift with Ouma but helll improve solid fighter butg nothing to rave about.
20.Ryan Rhodes -Zahuren Bangsurov couldtn leave the Experienced solid Brit out of the top 20,, hes had an up and down career and good do see him on a win streak and finally get a title shot... I think Bangsurov will go up in rankings, but needs to step up the competition a bit.. Has good win over Rubio though a couple years ago, but loss to Lattimore.
THe division is pretty deep as even the number 20 guys would be top 10 in some other divisions.

Ok my mistake.. Well Williams still hasnt lost at JM... Also im not agreeing or going with the notion that CIntron outclassed him.. Cintron won one round clearly, other one close and Williams was starting to turn the heat on when CIintron started feeling froggy... Besides Williams always gets stronger as the fight goes on, and Cintron usually falls apart... But dont count that against him when the fight was only beginning to heat up,, Before he jumped i was even telling people that Williams is starting to turn it up and is gonna punish Cintron. Maybe Cintron knew that and thats why jumped and played dead,,people criticize Dirrell for acting what about this dude? He acts like he fell from a 10 story building or was hit by a car.... I probably dislike Kermit the frog more than any fighter, dont have much heart, always finds an excuse for getting a break, and is riding that Margo handwraps thing like if hes some undefeated fighter... THis guy always seems to get the benefit of the doubt from judges, refs, Controversy(handwraps) and even fans(Williams) ... And his biggest win was over a sick Angulo and he barely won that one... I have no doubt that Angulo taes his head off in a rematch.

Dominating Verno Phillips and Winky Wright was impressive.. They were aging but alot of that had to do with WIlliams.. THose 2 would have still whupped a lot of good young guys,,ITs just that PW sets such a high pace it makes these guys look old and shot. Better wins than beating an injured and overrated Foreman-- ANd both were more active than Mayorga.... I still rate his win over Margo high, ,especially considering Margo kicked the crap out of Cintron and Cotto after.

    and no Konecny.

Cotto, Dzinziruk, Williams, Konecny are the top 4 fighters at 154 imo. Lara, Baysangurov, Alvarez have the most potential of the up and comers imo.

Well you can make a case for top 20 but i dont hink top 10.. hIs last world class opponent was Dzinurik..he did show he was world class by giving then Prime Dzinurik a close fight but that was 3 years ago. Would like to see him step it up again. Also loss to Piccirello, who was a titlist and a decent enough fighter but hardly that impressive. His win over Ghevor was when Ghevor was still Green.. What has he done lately to deserve such a high ranking?

I'm ranking who i think are the most talented in a h2h sense but even based on org ratings and accomplishments

Cotto - Foreman and Mayorga. Cotto has accomplished 0 at 154 with those as his only 2 wins

Williams - Phillips and his Cintron "win" are his only ones at 154

Angulo - probably has one of the best 154 resumes and it isn't that impressive but he hasn't fought for a year now

Margarito - has his win over Cotto from 2008 at WW. Nothing since then.

truth is it's a pretty inactive division especially among the top guys and i'm just talking about fights ingeneral forget about top guys facing eachother. Hopefully we'll get a unification fight at some point.

Dzinziruk's clearly the most accomplished in the division in my opinion. People can complain about his inactivity, but his wins over Julio and Konecny remain two of the biggest in the past four years in the division. Cotto hasn't really shown anything in my opinion, Angulo's career has stalled, Margarito might never fight again (and hasn't done anything there anyway), Williams' best wins are at 147 and 160, and Cintron's biggest accomplishments are a win against a green Angulo and a gift draw against Martinez.

I agree with Vysotsky that it's kind of been an inactive division for a while, which is really too bad since there are obviously a lot of names there now. Hopefully it picks up soon.
