People underestimate the klitschko's compared to the other ATG's, I'm not saying that they would beat Ali, Tyson u name it... well maybe they could, but we will never know...
Wlad does not get enough credit and too much hate I personally think Vitali is the superior fighter... He's just too badass:good
What a joke. Let's see Wlad do this once without falling on his face or getting KO'ed. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8_kPRkf5eY[/ame] All of those guys show MUCH more skills in the ring from slipping punches, countering, punch variety, etc.
What does that have to do with anything? The person was trying to make the point that those who appreciate fighters like Mayweather, Hopkins, and Toney don't appreciate the Klitschkos even though they should for similar reasons but that's simply not the case. Are the Klitschko's dominant and are their styles effective? Sure, but ultimately it doesn't lead to showing the same array of skill in the ring as the guys listed because they get a boost of having a size advantage over most of their opponents and don't have to fall back on skills in the same way. In other words, Wlad can simply just pull back to avoid punches against smaller opponents but Mayweather generally doesn't have that luxury and has to incorporate a range of defensive maneuvers.
I find this argumentation a bit hallow. Wlad is clearly a dedicated student of the sweet science. Of course he is a HW and takes advantage of his superior range, but I cant see how that would be less impressive then Floyds creative use of elbows or ducking low.
AGREED! Since the Kbros never had any real challenges it has stunted there growth as boxers. Since their style is so effective, which is a notch above Olympic when you compare them to the three gentleman mentioned earlier, they will never develop into full rounded ATG until they have to train to for someone that is close to being their equal or have to adjust during a fight. When they have faced real challenges, Wlad folded and Big V folded against Byrd and got stopped by LL. The Kbros are the best heavyweights by far but never had to fight a very good pressure or a highly skill boxer (out side of the featherfisted Byrd).
Good points and what I meant to touch on. It's not like Wlad only shows A, B, and C against certain opponents because that's all he needs but rather that's all he seems to have. I also want to mention that I'm not saying Wlad doesn't have skills, obviously not every big man can do what he does but I'm just making the point that their limited compared the other fighters in question.
Because one is a steroid riddled, quitting disgrace and the other is a China Chinned Hype Job whose boxing ability is far, far overrated as CLEARLY evidenced by the fact that he made another Glass Jawed Joke in David Haye look like the second coming of Willie Pep when he was missing profusely with his vaunted jab.
The Klitschko bros are good fighters and good guys but they are not Tyson,Ali,Foreman,Holmes,Lewis,Holyfield etc. They are not exciting and they woudnt do well against the all time greats
You are 40yrs old, dwell in your Mom's basement, your avatar is constantly changing to a different internet boyfriend, and you have downs :hi:
It's idiotic to talk about the "K bros" as a unit since they are two very different fighters that fight in totally different styles. I don't see how you can say that guys like Holmes, Moorer, and even an old Foreman are more exciting than Vitali gimme a break. If they were from youngstown Ohio US fans would be choking on their cocks. But alas, they are from the evil empire. Rocky 4 is simply too embedded in the US collective mind.
