SRR is the only man who would have his number imo . I know that SRL beat him in their first fight, but it far from convinced me that ray had tommys number

    Napoles
    Leonard
    Barney Ross
    Mickey Walker

How about Rodriguez, Griffith and Gavilan?

Hearns could KO about 5 fresh Ross's back to back IMHO. There is absolutely NOTHING Ross could do to even make this fight competitive. I don't get that choice at all.

Here's Ross, tell me how he takes Hearns, considering he's often being out-jabbed by McLarnin and has a severe height, reach, and power disadvantage:

Ross fares a lot better at the 135-140 range IMO.

To be clear, you think Hearns would KO Ross easily in an uncompetitive bout?

Frankly, I don't think it's relevant that Hearns would outjab Ross, Hearns would outjab pretty much anybody at this weight. I think that the experienced Ross is a good bet to find the right way to counter that jab, take Hearns into the later rounds close out a close one.

    Well Leonard's already beaten Hearns.

Walker isn't going to get discouraged or stopped. I think Hearns gets pulled by the corner with something broken, in a classic.

Yes. I don't see how it's even possible for this fight to be competitive.

Again, Ross just fares a lot better at the 135-140 range, just a better fit physically, especially when considering he would have to face guys like Hearns, with every conceivable advantage, at 147.

How would he go about it? I don't even think he'd hit Hearns often without getting countered huge, and I don't think he'd be able to take what Hearns dished out.

Hell, I don't think he'd fare as well as someone like Napoles did against Monzon to be honest.

Probably head-hunting off individual slip/ducks using quick pivots to be combat any spookie combination punching, flurries if he's being smart, very single hard shots if he's intimidated (which seems unlikely).

I don't think anyone could stop peak Ross, anyone. If he lost the fight it would be because you are more correct that I am and he got dumped on his ass a lot, not because he was blown out.

We'll have to agree to disagree, the footage just doesn't back it IMO.

    Fair enough chap.

For me, if you're picking a guy who's never been stopped, and shown the heart of a lion, to be bruttaly stopped in a one sided miss-match you need a bit more than you have.

On the other hand, putting him on a list of guys who should be favoured may not have been genius.

You've reviewed this footage thoroughly? What do you make of McLarnin?
