Who do you feel has a better defence, prime Vitali or Prime Wlad?

Well fellas lets take into account these men on average are about 5inches taller than the good majority of bodies on their resumes, not being able to reach their face is half the battle. That being said both have "ok" "decent" defensive fundementals though Wlad's is more classic and consistant. This has nothing to do with chin durability just skill set.

 

So Valuev must be untouchable? Ok bad comparison, its SNV.

 

Wlad is not much smaller than his bro. The reason why Wlad cant do that is because he has no upperbody movement! His defence is jap and grap and footwork! Thas why his fights are boring!

try looking at arm length and not what the tale of the tape says..vitali has much longer arms than wladimir he is also taller..so being taller and having longer arms lets him have the lean back style..wladimir is way more athletic than vitali.vitalis foot movement is even clumsy sometimes..wladimir is the all round better boxer and athelete..vitali is the born fighter/nutcase

 

Vitalis arms are short for his size. look at Lewis or Kevin Johnson reach, even Briggs has longer arms as well as Wlad. thats a fact!
vitalis footwork is great.
as JLH said, Vitali is the better boxer. wlad just looks more orthodox. so people confuse that with better skill.

its not only the lean back style, its the side step, blocking punches and head movement. and no wlad is not the all round better boxer. wlad cant counterpunch, he cant throw punches from all angles, he cant adjust in the ring like vitali. IMO
