the one who is most able to win boxing matches out of all the boxers is the best boxer..

in practice, if you take every boxer's current overall ability relative to their weight, and then figuratively match them all up with each other, then the one who comes out with the most wins would be the best one.

I know mine could get **** on but this is how I see it, just imo.

    1 - Pac
    2 - Martinez
    3 - Mayweather
    4 - Donaire

Dont really rate the rest.... if Wlad goes on to beat Haye I will have him at number 5 maybe.

What pisses me off, is that the top 3 p4p fighters in the world, regardless of order, are all in the same weightclass, or 1 weightclass apart, yet we might not see any of the fights.

    Pac vs Mayweather @ 147
    Mayweather vs Martinez @154

Those fights not happening make boxing look like a circus, imo.

Martinez is really 2 weight classes above Pac and Mayweather. And Pacquiao is really more of a small JrWW fighting at WW than a true WW. I have doubts that Matinez can even make 154, and if he did he would look like crap.

I dont want to see Pac fight above 147, so I dont want that matchup... but I do think that Martinez can make 154, and Mayweather can fight comfortably there, as shown against DLH.... and I just think when talking about the p4p matchups like these, it would be nice to make. If Martinez cant make the weight then fair enough.... but he says he can (but.. he would say that I suppose) and I think he could, he weighed 157 and 158 in his last outtings, I think he could have an extra long camp and come in on the dot at 154. But ya maybe that would be draining him too much...

    Just imo.

No excuse for Pac vs Mayweather not happening though... but I suppose theres enough threads on that.

I'll put back Mayweather on #2 spot if he fights again.

ok so it's a kinda hypothetical H2H ranking... that's fair enough.

I explained mine on previous pages, even using your criteria, personally, I view Martinez as the best active boxer, but i'm not sure if I do that because of his advantages over those in the surrounding divisions.

I think right now, that Martinez is the most unbeatable fighter. However Pac can easily overthrow him with a win over berto/floyd/cotto/alvarez/angulo/bradley/khan etc.

my biggest beef with pac is due to how great he's been to date, his last two fights (including sugar) are miles behind the quality of opponents he's fought previously, I wanna see him return to thos days again!
