Who do you have higher in all-time p4p terms: MONZON or WHITAKER

I always thought Whitaker, but I've been researching Monzon a bit lately, and I'm starting to question who was the greater of the two. I don't think either were as just as good as Duran or Leonard, I think both were slightly better than Hagler or Arguello, but I can't decide who was better of the two just now.

    Thoughts/opinions?

An additional question those who post: do you have BOTH, EITHER ONE, or NONE in your top 10 of all-time?

PS: I meant to add a poll here but forgot. If you have an opinion on this and want to vote please do so in the Classic where I have posted it with the poll. Cheers. If you can't be arsed, just make clear in your post who you thought was the better fighter.

Good thread, personally I am not knowledgable enough to give an opinion, but I wish you'd have posted this in the Classic where we would get indepth, thought-out arguments and responses to this.

Why not amigo? That's the point of this thread, I would really like to know why you go with Monzon as I am struggling to make a definitive decision on this.

Having fought about 100 fights in his career, he avenged his only three losses, defeated the likes of Griffith, Napoles, & Benvenuti, stayed undefeated from like the early 60's to the late 70's.. He ruled the middlweight division..

I put Whitaker in the same bracket as Duran and Leonard personally. Lower quartile kinda thing, but still...I rate him extremely highly.

Monzon, I know jack **** about to be honest. You will get far better views and expert knowledge in the classic forum, those guys know their stuff..
