I have seen many lists the last few months where either guy is above the other, I was wondering if we could get a clear poll outcome as to who esb boxng fans currently rank higher between these two guys.

Well for me 'p4p' means who is the best regardless of weight. For this reason i think heavyweights in general struggle in p4p arguments, especially the Klitschkos whose size is so important to their success.

I also think Ward has faced and beaten sterner competition in a much shorter period of time.

    Ward for me quite comfortably.

I think a lot of people get confused about what P4P is. The idea is that noone gets penalised for their size - including heavyweights.

Right now I have to put Wlad first. Although I think the heavy division is weaker, he has dominated it and cleaned it out. Not only that, but he has reigned for ages. People are terrified to fight him.

Ward is just at the beginning of what could be an impressive, dominant reign - and it will be over a deeper division than heavyweight. I suspect he is the best SMW on the planet, but he hasn't beaten or unified yet. It is possible that Bute or even Dirrell will have Ward's measure.

I suspect that Ward could become considered P4P better than Wlad. Right now I am not going to say he is, because it would be just guessing. In another year or two, that is likely enough to change.

    Really?

I don't recall Ward ever being KO'ed by journeymen and semi-retired pro golfers....

This is a difficult one, I haven't done a p4p list but if I decided to make one it would be a hard decision. Right now though, I'd say Wlad.

I don't recall Ward being a dominant fighter in his weight division for a decade and a half like Wlad. Nor do I recall Ward being the recognized champion for over five years like Wlad. Wlad will likely surpass Larry Holme's record of over 7 years as dominant champion. Wlad's resume and accomplishments are miles beyond the relative neophite Ward. Hell, Ward may well lose to Bute and seems scared to face him. Wlad always hunts down and fights the top dog in his division and wins in ridiculously easy fashion. He won't fight his brother because he is a man and not an animal.
