I always found it absurd how people plop an old timer into today rules and conditions to imagine how they would do.

for me it is a lot easier to imagine if fighters were the same weight and imagine how a fight would work out. If WLad was 147 how would he stack up against PBF and Pac? He would obviously be more faster than now, but how would his skill match up with PBF and Pac. If you use PBF and Pac as measuring sticks I think Ward would hold his own much better given his skill set.

I know both practices are abstract. P4P I contend is more useful only because it measures who are the best fighters today.

The most talented in SMW is Ward, Dirrell and Bute. Ward and Dirrell ducked each other during Super Six. And after Super Six Ward refused to fight Bute. I like Ward, but he is yet to face a talented opponent.

 

Haye and Byrd. They are more talented than anyone Ward has faced.
