Sure, Haye and Byrd on a P4P level are superior to Froch and Kessler.

This is why people think HW's get slated in P4P discussion. Whether you think it's fair or not it's true. Ward is fighting similar sized fighters, which says more on a P4P scale. Just the way it goes.

I fail to see how anyone can not have Ward higher on a P4P list. Do people know what P4P means?

It's a theoretical list on the basis that if all fighter were the same size, who would be better. Based on this alone, how the hell can a 6'7 guy who uses his height to full advantage and bases his boxing style entirely around this be rated higher than someone with a complete set of skills who uses those to win fights against more skilled and similar sized opponents?

yes. sakio bika, allan green and arthur abraham are masterful opponents with the likes of skill that wladimir has never faced in 20+ years

P4P means "pound for pound". Wlad has huge advantages over his opponents. If they were the same size, i don't know if he would beat the likes of Chambers, Povetkin, Haye, etc. So Ward without a doubt.

Byrd is a better Lt heavyweight than Froch is a Supermiddle and Haye is a better Cruiseweight than Kessler is a Supermiddle.

    So we agree.

That said, Wlad beating up on 175lb'ers and Cruiserweights does NOT inspire me.

    Ward > Wlad.

Way to go, you know the URL for Boxrec. These guys were at least game and came to fight in a competative division. Ward didn't use physical dimensions to beat them either.

Again, yet another person who doesn't have a clue what P4P actually means :patsch

this is simply not true. wlad only weighs 240 lbs wich is average for a hw. he just happens to be taller than most

would u say the same about tommy hearns just because he had a height advantage??

Yeah, keep telling yourself that Wlad is simliar in size to Haye, Ibrag, Povetkin and Chambers. Whatever floats your boat.

actually p4p is a promoters scheme invented to help market smaller fighters. reaal boxing fans use p4p to compare how different fighters do in their respective divisions

P4P means the overall size, as their is no weight limit in HW either, so we have a crop of blown up crusierweights too lazy to make the 200lb limit and a load of fat out of shape HW's.

Tell me this, if Wlad was 6'0 to 6'2 with an average reach, would he still be as dominant?

I respect your opinion, but you need to understand that how p4p is understood differs from fan to fan. If you want to look at it that way it is fine. In my opinion the way Wlad defeats opponents like Byrd and Haye is not thanks to size alone, but thanks to a combination of assets. In terms of performence Wlad dominates in a way Ward is unable to. He win more rounds or scores KO's against better athletes.

    Not even close.

That's probably why the Sanders fight only lasted two rounds. Sanders has the dimensions to get to Wlad's chin. Probably also the reason why Wlad ducked Valuev.

If Wlad is SOOOOO dominant then why was there no Sanders rematch?

Wow, the klitlickers came out in full force! When I last came on this thread Ward was winning by a land slide (the way it should be). People have zero idea of the concept of P4P if the think Wlad is better!
