I’m just hopping the right guy gets the nod and there is no controversy. Would be great if either guy scores a knockout and eliminate any controversy.

    What? Is this true?

'Callum Smith make guaranteed purse for this fight upto $4 million and it will increase maximum to $7.5 million based on pay-per-view share if'

'This is a big money for fight both boxers. Canelo is due to earn a guaranteed $40 million while also claiming 60% of PPV proceeds, per multiple reports. Plant is slated to earn a guaranteed $10 million plus 40% of PPV proceeds.'

'Certainly, the Mexican boxing icon will make new records in the upcoming clash. As per reports, he will earn a guaranteed purse of $15million for a fight against Bivol.

Moreover, the purse bid has already confirmed that he will get 70 percent of pay-per-view sales.

Whereas his opponent, Bivol, who will compete in one of the biggest fights of his career, will get a guaranteed purse of $2million. This is probably the highest payday for the Russian pugilist. Moreover, he will clinch 30 percent of pay-per-view sales.'

Bivol's highest purse is reputedly just $500,000. He's defended his title seven times

I want to see Bivol win and for Canelo to stop feasting on the weak era he now fights in. He is a great fighter, but a little overrated. There is no way Canelo could have done much in an era of Spinks for example, but today boxing is watered down.

I just want to see a good fight and have the better man win. I really hope there is no controversy or freak incidents that make boxing look like a circus. A great fight with a clear, deserving victor & a good display of sportsmanship afterwards would be wonderful. Hopefully it will attract lots of new fans to boxing.

I want Bivol to win because he represents everything right and noble about our sport, is one of the nicest, most humble and likeable fighters in the sport, his highest payday despite making seven defences of his world title until now is $500k and he deserves the big money, and because Clenelo is the richest fighter in the sport and he has the judges in his pocket all the time, judges who have gifted wins to him after stealing them from his opponents numerous times. And he is also the poster boy for corruption in the sport and a ginger ****house toad who has a deck so stacked in his favour he's literally rolling with loaded dice and you have to spark him out cold for a fortnight to come away with a draw.

I like Canelo's style and I'm not really all that familiar with Bivol since I've only got into boxing in the past year, but I'm a sucker for an upset too. I'll be happy with either one winning, as long as it's a genuinely earned victory.

Canelo is from a foreign country too. :deal:
If he wins, good for him. Help from the officials is a matter of interpretation. We seen what happened when he legitimately beat GGG, many fans still accussd him of getting help from the officials. Blaming the judges for scoring it wrong has become a way for people to cope with or rationalize Canelo winning. It's all a bit mental. May the best man win.

I don’t care as long as the winner squares off with the winner of Smith vs Beterbiev.

Been watching Canelo since he was a kid, pre stardom, so no surprise I'd like to see him win. That said he's tap dancing on the boundary line of too far with his ambitions. I feel he's in more risk of losing fights than I've seen him in years, perhaps I'm wrong. But hoping he keeps pulling it off.
