Considering Archie fought exactly like Toney except he hit much harder, I can’t think of a better matchup for Marciano than Toney.

My reasoning is Frazier and Holmes both tear his face up forcing a doctors stoppage. Yes I was premature on Holy for sure.
Dempsey I believe storms out of the gate and very possibly catches Rocky cold. There pretty close I just feel Dempsey is better and if he didn't waste his yrs on that vaudeville bull#### they did back then it would have showed.
In the end it's all speculation though.

At 190 I can't favour anybody to beat him over 15. Obviously anybody can be beaten, but I'd be somewhat surprised to see it.

I just dont feel Rockys face would hold up to the type of battering both Holmes and Smoke would be putting on him. He never had to deal with men of that caliber befor.

 

I can understand you thinking that this scenario is on the cards, but a cuts stoppage is a relatively unusual event.

Marciano was prone to cut, but he was not an out and out bleeder.

It just seems a bit like predicting a draw to me!
