??? Both started boxing in the pro ranks at the SAME time - Vitali was even faster getting up the ranks whereas Wlad was fed with alot more journeymen...
Wlad is the better boxer and i love the way he continues to win over great opposition even though he has a horrible chin, that shows a lot of character. He has a lot of guts...
I clearly prefer Vitali. He's more exciting to watch. He has that unorthodox style that doesn't always look right, but the opponent gets beaten the **** out of him. That's always interesting. He also reacts much better when under pressure. In Vitalis fight the natural, intuitive abilities on the one hand and strategy, preparation and planning on the other hand seem to work perfectly together. It's different with Wladimir: I always have the feeling that he gets into trouble if things don't go like planned. He seems to depend on a plan, which equals a lack of intuitive, natural ability. In terms of their records, I prefer Wladimir. He has faced the better opposition.
Good thread subject but you should've made it a poll so you can see the favorite at a glance. If you do decide to make this a poll then you should include an option for "both about equal" as well as "neither".
I like Wladimir better though I like Vitali a lot. Vitali is much more aggressive and is wililng to engage while Wladimir is more of the classic boxer type.
For the record I like them about equal since I like their respective styles. Wlad being the better "orthodox" style of boxer & Vitali being very unorthodox but making it work for himself. You can say Vitali's style is ugly but I think it's unique in that no one else has ever been as successful with that style as he has. It's a European style. He leans straight back, leans in with his face to taunt his opponents into throwing so he can counter them. He has great reflexes and heavy hands with nearly every punch he throws. I think he uses more angles than Wlad does but a lot of his punches are arm punches because his footwork is a bit all over the place. He has also shown an iron chin when he is tagged. Wlad has serious 1 punch KO power and the speed & accuracy of his delivery is practically unheard of at HW. He throws many of his jabs & rights very straight unlike say Peter who generates power from swinging hooks where he actually pulls back a bit before throwing. Wlad's left hooks are also something rare among today's Heavys. He can throw a planted left hook with extreme power or he can turn a left jab into a hook mid-flight which usually catches his opponent off guard and although it's not as powerful as a planted left hook it's surprise factor can KO many with that single punch. His chin is underrated too. He's taken some serious shots from some of the biggest punchers and even if he goes down he always gets up.
Wlad has been improving by taking on big punchers like Brock and Peter. He got up from those knockdowns from Peter and that says alot about his improved attitude. But i still like Vitali better ,cause he has much more fire in the ring.
IMO Wlad gives the worse beatdowns overall. Some of these guys leave a Wlad fight in complete shambles. Wlad doesn't have the mean streak about him that Vitali does but there is something cold about how he fights in the ring. He fights like it is purely sport to him, like his opponent is game and he's the hunter. He throws his punches so damn hard, harder than his brother IMO. Vitali is fun to watch, though. He honestly has that big brother mentality. He looks like he just wants to kick some ass.
Vitaly don't hit harder and that is truth:deal Wlad is more skilled fighter of brothers..vitaly owns better chin and fighting spirit, but that's all
