Who do you rank higher: Andre Ward or Joe Calzaghe

Calzaghe would clown Froch. Just embarrass him. Probably even at age 37-38, as you say.

 

I thought this was already settled. Calzaghe > Ward H2H and all time.

 

Usyk reminds me of Super Joe for some reason.

Joe's an even better athlete, I think, but Usyk is extremely athletic for his size. I can see what you mean. He is kind of like a super-sized Joe.

 

Joe would've got KO'ed by Kovalev. That coke chin wouldn't last. Also Froch would've KO'ed Joe as well especially if a shot RJJ and old Bhop was able to knock him down and with that said, Ward had a good chance as well.

Reason why Joe retired when he did. Him and Fury are maybe cousins or he possibly introduced coke to Fury. You never know.

 

The way he throws that left hand. In & out out, countering and staying in range. Usyk is not an athlete like Joe, nor has his stamina but he's very similar I feel I love his work.

 

Both are ATGs but Ward has the better resume with that said you can't go wrong with either one.

 

I think Ward gets a slight edge in ring IQ, and a significant edge in terms of defense and dirty tactics. Both are about even in terms of adjusting mid fight after rough early starts and in terms of punching power. Edge for Calzaghe in terms of volume of punches and that might be what settles this h2h matchup. Calzaghe 115-113 in an extremely controversial fight.

 

I'm also a big fan.

I saw a documentary on Usyk that was shot after like his 6th pro fight. Was pretty on board the hype train after that. Think that was like 2014 or so.

 

There's no question. He popped Kesslers cherry who's better than Froch.

 

Calzaghe easy, he whips Ward's ass.

 

First time I saw him was in the WSB series with Joyce. I'm British but was cheering him on. I think he lacks the power to challenge some of the more refined punchers in the division(HW), the really tall ones. I'd pick him to LACY, Wilder though without question.

 

Oh it's settled! Only the very few Turd stragglers left outside but we don't need or want them onboard.

 

I don't recall Joe C head butting, holding, elbowing or low blowing his way to victory in any fight so it's Joe C for me. A legit win trumps a dirty ass win every day of the week....
