Yes, but in their first bout, Holy was hampered by a malfunctioning heart muscle, yet still forced MM to get off the deck to pull out a majority decision. He was far more competitive against Moorer than Big George had been, up to the time the lumbering one suddenly put him to sleep. (And in their 1997 rematch, a healthier Holyfield easily took MM apart, bouncing him off the floor repeatedly before the round eight stoppage.)

Good post that mate. Right that's it, I'm convinced. The Deal ranks higher. :good

ps. I must say though, I didn't think 'Vander looked the goods at heavy UNTIL the Rodrigues fight (the Dokes fight made me sit up initally and figure he 'could' be champ but it was a bit 'if'). The manner of the victory vs the Brazilian impressed me, which I first saw the night of the Tyson-Chinny Williams fight. I thought, as I mentioned earlier, he totally lacked power vs Thomas and Tillis and struggled to put them away, despite hitting them with everything. But the Rodrigues win finally gave me hope.

The Rodrigues win was one of his finest.
Adilson wont go down in history as a particularly good contender but the way
Holyfield KO'd him was very impressive.
