    I repeat:

"A fighter doesn't scale up and retain the same characteristics."

That's like arguing if Lomachenko were the same size as Floyd he'd put a whooping on him because he's so much faster. No. He wouldn't retain his speed at a larger size.

I don't agree. If PBF was prime at 154 or even at 147 he would beat any version of GGG at 160 as he's a stylistic nightmare for him. GGG has beaten no one to suggests he would beat PBF. Hell he couldn't even beat Canelo in his own weight class a guy a faded PBF shut out. Let that sink in.

PBF scaled up and retained most of his characteristics but then again his style wasn't about power which already makes him superior to GGG. PBF's style was based on skill.:deal:

It's very easy. Just imagine the fight Canelo vs Golovkin with PBF fighting instead of Canelo and PBF would have
won the fight, it's easy to do because Canelo and Floyd are similar enough, only that Floyd has far superior movement and better timing.

You serious? He went from being a finisher, to a pot shot safety first approach fighter blatantly, threw far less the higher up he went !

“We’ve always said that Gennady could move up to 168 if it made sense. We tried to make the Chavez fight [at 168]. We tried to make the Froch fight [at 168]. Now [Gilberto] Ramirez is talking about fighting Triple G. He’s an undefeated 168 pound champion. Andre Ward, he’s got the Kovalev rematch. If he can win that one and come back down to 168 - I think that's a great fight,” said Loeffler to *******.com.

“When they were originally talking about fighting Gennady, that’s when we had the Lemieux fight, that's when we had the Cotto-Canelo winner in our sights. My response was clear - if Andre was at 168 we can make that fight. That’s a tremendous match-up now that Andre’s active again. If Gennady can beat Canelo, that makes that fight [with Ward] that much more interesting."

And he made up for it with superior ring IQ unbeateble defense dictating pace well timed counters and being first he was the best ring general in boxing.

You never answered my questions at all....when has GGG been dropped and struggled with a Mercado level opponent???

Also at that time RJJ wasn't an ATG...so you cannot claim Hopkins humped in with an ATG as at that point in time he never was and Hopkins never actively pursued a rematch until RJJ was on the slide.

Question what had Allen done or beaten to warrant such hype?

Was it his stoppage loss to Barbosa?

Was it his only stand out victory over Byron?

    Please explain.

So they'd have a ring shaped like a donut and run backwards in a big circle all night? That's the way I see it.
