Sergio has 3 losses, GGG has none.
Once he beats Canelo again in few weeks he will pull ahead of Martinez.

More non-pertiment argument. Jacobs had a WBA strap, but what do titles mean in a corrupt sport? Your acknowledgement that he didn't have the real WBA belt proves my point. It's possible for a contender to be better than the Lineal champ, as I already pointed out, Lineal Champ is just a title, often not indicative of being the best guy in a weight class.

Pavlik is clearly not a better win than Jacobs at that juncture of his career. Some of you have a fairly weird argument style. It is akin to arguing that Joe Smith beat prime Hopkins. Martinez didn't beat the Pavlik that stopped Miranda and Taylor. He beat the post Hopkins alcoholic Pavlik.

Marvin Hagler has 3 losses. And?

If he loses to Canelo , Martinez will shoot well ahead of him. :sisi3::sisi1

Martinez would have his moments early but he's severely outgunned in every department and he'd be broken down like Proska.

I would totally own PimpC right now, except that Imma scared of the bat. So, another time, son.

So, I'll just observe that Martinez was an exciting and dynamic fighter, and that he would have beaten a lot of guys at 160. He would have beaten Cotto if he was 100% and he would have stomped Floyd too.

However, I think GGG is fundamentally too correct and brings too much pressure for a guy like Martinez to handle, especially since that jab is going to be in his face all night. There's a reason people like Martinez and Sturm wanted no part of Golovkin :deal:

Read the first post, we're talking accomplishments. Losses count. So you're ready to count GGGs loss to Canelo.
Get ready to count Sergio's too then.

Jacobs chin against Golovkin would beg to differ. Jacobs would never lose to such a broken, stiff, and robotic type of guy like the version of Pavlik that Martinez beat. What elite fighters did Pavlik beat around the time that Martinez beat him? I'll wait.

Martinez is almost like a poor man's RJJ I could see his speed and movement giving GGG fits he also had good pop and excellent counter puncher and could hit you with shots you don't see. His durability is a question mark close fight but he outpoints GGG to a UD win.

As for who's greater I say Martinez as he has the better resume and fought in more weight classes.

Its not just a title when he took it off Taylor who had just beaten a 10 year long reigning Hopkins.

Jacobs had a WBA interim trinket. Golovkin held the WBA title. Jacobs best win is Peter Qullin and that win isn't that good anymore with the benefit of hindsight.

Taylor has wins against Hopkins , Miranda , Truax , Corey Sprinkle Jeff Lacy(by shut out) and Ouma.

He was undisputed and two time MW Champion.

^ Love how Ouma is a bum if GGG fights him but worthy of mention if its Taylor  Dino's never shy on the double standards.
