Who do you Rank Higher - Morales or Barrera? *NOT favourite

According to everyone Pacquaio was a way more complete fighter at the higher weights.

 

Marquez suppose to have at least three wins against Pacquaio sadly they didn't give him the nod.

 

True, but who cares? He was still vastly more effective at the lower weights anyways.

Point remains he gets destroyed and obliterated by any great Welter there was.

 

Besides the Garcia fight, can you tell me another time he used PED's? (For losing weight!)

I think this whole Morales is a PED cheat is getting out of hand!

And I favor Morales but I don't have a problem calling it even.

 

Very bizarre. H2h, Barrera clearly showed he was the better fighter through 36 rounds with Morales. The rounds were the easiest to score in the third fight, and you'd have to come up with a round by round defence to insist it wasn't a 7-5 MAB win. And in the first fight the only guy to get beaten up in rounds was Morales. Barrera-Marquez was a back and forth tactical boxing match from which even if you think Marquez won, you can't say he'd likely win every time they fought, especially because that was MAB at the twilight of his career.

As far as career resume, it's equally hard to insist Barrera is the greatest of the three. though they're of close. Morales beat Jones and Pacquiao decisively, who both stopped MAB. And had more sustained success without the setbacks Barrera had. I have Barrera ahead of Marquez, but most people seem to have Marquez higher, for his longer career, and great wins at lightweight and welter of course over Pac.

How is this even a question?

 

I feel it was clearly 2 / 1 for morales. The thing for me was every fighters in that trilogy I had the opposite winner than the judges.

Mab should've got the W in the first fight, very close , almost as close as the 2nd I had morales. The 3rd was a close but clear 7/5 win for morales.

Judging is way too subjective, if I was fighting I would personally put in each contact that scores are announced every 4 rounds.

I want to know how I'm doing in the judges eyes. I think it's re****ed that , at least the camps don't know what's being scored and what's not. There would be so many more battles knowing you have to win out or know if you can be cautious, ala, canelo vs trout. The very dumb "fans" label canelo with stamina issues because he took his foot off the gas knowing how far up he was. . Trout knew how far back he was too, so thato his fault.

They would have to make 10-8 rounds much more than one being knocked down too. If you fail to engage at all and just try to spoil the round it could cost you a 10-8,round. .

The only sports I know of are boxing and mma that keep everyone blind until it's too late. I would refuse to lose a decision, I'd make sure I won enough rounds no matter what. You're knocking me out or I'm winning one way or another.

That would really tighten up scoring and remove all the garbage decision. You'd know what you needed to do, that's my feelings

 

The fights could have gone either way, all 3 of them, I think Morales won the 1st by 1 point but the 2nd I had him winning by a few rounds. The 3rd Morales didn't do enough and Barrera beat him by 2 rounds imo.

Morales knocked out Junior Jones who stopped Barrera and beat Pacquiao who also knocked out Barrera. He had more success than Barrera did moving up as well, in my opinion anyway.

Thats why I rate Morales higher than Barrera.
