 Oh damn, you got me. I was really trying to hide my identity with my Ryder avatar, and top 5 favorite fighters list.

I have Whitaker only borderline Top5 at lw without including the pre 1920s fighters. And I am a fan of his.

Leonard is my choice for best single-weight champion ever, ahead of Pep. On the basis of his special dominance and longevity, I give the edge to him on both counts. There's really not much in it though, I'd have Leonard just inside a top 10 and Sweet Pea just inside a top 15 (that's a rough impression, I don't have a concrete list).

Not that it should effect your rankings, but Leonard was "The Great Benny Leonard" before Ali was the "Greatest"

Benny Leonard ,not only was a great boxer, and fast moving technician, ala willie Pep...Leonard was a tremendous two handed puncher, along the lines of a later day Ike Williams...They didn't call him " Leonard The Magnificient ", for nothing...He knocked out sixty nine opponents..That tells it all...The thing that is impressive, is Leonard, was only 5 feet',6"tall, wheras Ray Robinson at 5 feet,11" inches tall had a distinct height advantage over the majority of Ray's ,opponents...I rate them both on a par.GREATEST..
