Roy. I have quite a few places between them, something like 12.

Roy has the HW win, Roy has the astonishing physical capabilities. Roy is one of "them". He's just to good to believe, in fact.

Actually, many people believe that Hopkins beat Calzaghe. So that doesn't count as an "arse kicking", neither does a points decision victory over a shot-to-**** Jones.

    ****ing Calzaghe fans

JoeyC spanked em both. Shame isnt it, losing to an overhyped eurobum? Still they were past their primes wernt they. Hopkins didnt go and demolish Pavlik soon after, the so called great white hope who would teach Calzaghe a lesson. The RJJ Calzaghe fight was just embarrassing. Schooled!

Yeah, it was embarassing for Calzaghe and his fans. Fighting a shot to **** legend instead of a legitimate contender.

Hopkins had better longevity & Jones was better in their primes.
Jones won the H2H so I go Roy.

would you consider being the reputation of hopkins as a dirty fighter in ATG rankings? i would not include that thing but i might include as well since is doesnt contribute to the growth of the boxing as a sport

but as of now, i do not tamper the ATGs who are involved in game fixing and those who had a reputation of being dirty

Best to change that avater before slagging off the balls of any other fighter.... & I like Naz but facts are facts, he left the sport at 28 after yrs of verbal about being the GOAT, thats more embarassing IMHO.

Hopkins has no big weakness that made him easy to beat. He does have a hard time against fighters with great handspeed who throw punches in bunches, but even against those fighters he didn't lose by a wide margin (see Taylor and Calzaghe).

Roy Jones has a weakness that was exposed when he was 35 years old: he can not handle intense pressure. Roy needs to have space, in order to take advantage of his superior skill and handspeed. But when his opponent turns it into a street alley brawl, he can't fight. See what happened with Glen Johnson and Joe Calzaghe. If Roy jones had faced these guys when he was 27 years old, he still would have lost. He was absolutely clueless in those 2 fights.

Hopkins has the better career, with only a few close decision losses. I agree with the losses to Taylor and Calzaghe (I had wider margins), but when I watched the Hopkins-Jones fight, I scored it for Hopkins (punches landed by the aggressor should be worth more than the ones landed by the guy who is running away).

Calzaghe has no balls, and proved that on numerous occasions. Taking 10 years to rival what Hamed did in 3, hiding out in Wales defending a shitty belt against a motley crew of bums and nobodies for a decade, rematching guys he knocked out in the first round but not legends who aguabley beat him then fighting a guy who Calzaghe himself described as "not worth fighting" before ****ing off with into retirment with a shambolic upbeaten record....
