Who do you rate higher: Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones Jr?

Personally, I'm not too sure who I rate higher, but I think Hopkins will go down in the history books as the higher rated guy!

Hopkins is still competing at the highest level & is coming off the best of his career at an age when fighters are not meant to fit, let alone perform the level B-Hop does!

Jones has been KO'd by Tarver & Johnson, which cannot be irgnored! Hopkins has never come close to being stopped, let alone being KO'd!

Jones did go up to HW & win the WBA title, & that is a great accomplishment, but Hopkins is the one who has performed at the highest level for longer!

If they fought now, Hopkins would stop Jones!

Roy was a boxer, not a fighter. Stick and move, that was his style, and he was the best at what he did.

jones won the fight with hopkins by a couple of rounds, but there were instances where hopkins stunned jones with his straight right.

i rank hopkins higher because of his resume, because that is the only thing that seperates them. roy jones becoming a middleweight champion and a heavyweight champion was an outstanding achievement. but hopkins ruling the middleweight division for a decade is just as good an achievement.

Jones dominated bigger men for as long if not longer than Hopkins dominated the middles ..He could of hung them up after the Ruiz fight and would have had only 1 blemish on his record ..But he didn't Hopkins didn'tleave the middle weight divison until the tail end of his career ..If anything Jones dominance from middle to heavy before his losses surpasses anything Hopkins did imo ..Beating two 1 dimesnional fighters in Tito and Pavlik don't rank all that too high in my book if you do a H2H compariosn ..

I agree there is a few better than Pavlik on Roy's resume, but I'm not sure there is any better than Tito. The good version of Tito that is, not that fat, old, retired version that Roy beat.

Calzaghe may have kicked Jones' ass, but he certainly did not kick Hopkins' ass.

Calzaghe tried to dry hump Hopkins' ass if I remember correctly.

Some would call it showboating, I'd call it borderline sexual assualt.

Jones.Roy won h2h when they were young and strong. And Roy beat a prime Toney who is arguably the equal-some say even better-than Bernard. In fact it can be argued that Toney is better than anyone Bernard fought except Roy.Unfortunately Roy was shot when he was 33.I like Glen Johnson alot, but if anyone says that Glencoffe is better throughout history than Toney, they're out of their minds.

Roy never left the US because of the robbery of the '88 Olympics. He has never denied this.DM left Germany once to fight in neighboring Poland. At least Roy has been more consistent on this issue.
