Who do you rate higher: Lewis or Tyson?

How on earth is tyson better head to head, he is not exactly a versatile fighter and if you can match him then you can beat him. Lewis is perhaps the best h2h fighter around.

 

i'm a huge Tyson fan but this one is Lewis all the way

 

Lewis by a lot. The best fighter Tyson ever beat was Michael Spinks or an old Larry Holmes. Not much of a resume there

I think Tyson would even say Lewis to be honest.

 

I have Lewis at #4 and Tyson at #5.
I think in a prime vs. prime match up Tyson's speed and defense would have allowed him to get to Lewis in 6-8 rounds. Tyson also had a more domanat tittle regin. I have Lewis higher than Tyson. His over all body of work is better than Tyson's. I do take in to acount that Lewis beat everyone he faced. He had a questionable chin his only too losses were by KO. He did win rematches vs. both Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman. I think a week or questionable chin is a factor in picking fights but not in ranking boxers.

Look at there achievments for a start, tyson was good but lewis is top 3 or 4 atg hw ever easily.

Look at Lewis last fight was against one of the toughest challengers he has ever faced in vitali. He bashed ruddock who gave tyson so much trouble, he bashed golota when he was in his prime who had made bowe look like ****. He also by way of rematch beat every man he ever faced and not many fighters in any weight catergory can say that :good

I have Lewis as a top 10 heavy of all time while Tyson doesn't make that list.

Lewis, but Tyson is alot better than he is given credit for by some in this thread, his wins over Spinks and Holmes are as good as any wins Lewis has when you consider that both Holy and Tyson were old and Shot when they fought him. Both are are great though Lewis was better because he was more consistant, no reason to belittle Iron Mike's achievements which were great as well.

 

I agree that Lewis,Louis,Ali, and Marciano are better than Tyson.
