Charles, Foreman, Frazier, Langford, Dempsey, Jeffries are not better than Tyson, is top 5 to high for him, absolutely but he is still a legit top 10 guy.

    My top 5
    1. Ali/ Louis
    3.Johnson

Yeah, Tyson instead got sparked by Buster Douglas, the great champion Buster Douglas.

So Lewis got sparked by Rahman and McCline both were not as good as Douglas.

Lewis by far. A much better fighter, better resume..The only thing Tyson could beat him in is having a more interesting personality.

Yes, but those were 1 punch lucky shots(McCall had his eyes closed) Lewis was never beat down by anyone like Tyson was several times.

True, but he still got KO'd twice in his prime by fighters who were not as good as Holy and Douglas

Lewis is better, but Tyson has his greatness as well, I don't see a large margin at all.

I'll give the nod to Lewis for accomplishment. He was much more consistant while Tyson self destructed after Cus.

However when ranking fighters strait prime for prime Tyson is on my ATG list and much higher than Lewis. A lot of people on this board are probably too young to remember how great Mike's prime really was but old enough to have watched Lewis at his best. For me, nobody has even come close at heavyweight to what prime Tyson could do in the ring. Including Lewis.

Lewis struggled with fighters that pushed him back, I had Lewis loosing the Mercer and Holyfield II fights comfortably as both fighters were not afraid to stand there with him. Tony Tucker and Shannon Briggs also shook him and Bruno was kicking the bejusus out of him until a freak hook got Bruno in trouble. Tyson will not be intimidated at all by Lewis

This is not to mention how Lewis was sparked by McCall and Rahman, both journeyman. Tyson will demolish Lewis and early.

Problem with Tyson's prime though, is he did not face any great heavyweight fighters. Spinks was a blown up LHW and scared to death, and Holmes star had faded long before he fought Tyson. It's very hard to rate Tyson in his prime based on his Resume of 3-4 years up to Douglas, he did take care of business though
