There is a valid point about Eubank's gift decisions, there was the joke 'Eubank's scorecards are filled out the week before his fights'. Allot were close fights and he has a good argument for winning some of them, the Ray Close fights were the most notorious from memory. I really don't remember the Schommer fight, the Watson fight I thought he won, I thought he beat Rochiagani, the BEnn rematch Benn got the better of but he has a good case to grad 6rounds, the Malinga fight was close I can't remember it too well to comment though (allot of these fights I didn't do a scorecard for). If you're going to hold those fights against Eubank you have to give him credit for winning against Collins and Thompson too though

So against Benn, Benn has the epic win's over McClellan and Barkley. Although Eubanks wins over Rochiagani and Lindel Holmes aren't too much worse. H2H Eubank won the first and Benn did better in the second but drew. Against common opponents - Watson/Collins/Mallinga

Eubank overall did better, but Benn pulled out the greatest victory, was more exciting and the real man of the 2

Can't go with that. Always thought Nigel was a weak guy, albeit nasty and hate-filled. He admits now that, inside, he was 'weeping like a small child' back then.

Eubank was the honest hard-headed mature man of the two.

I cant help thinking when eubank beat Watson and Benn the rest of the world did not think that those wins made Chris the best middle/super middleweight in the world and being ACCEPTED as the worlds best is what it is supposed to be about.

Nothing eubank did on paper looks like he ever proved to be anything more than the best in Britain and Europe.

Yes eubank scored a stoppage win over Benn but when Benn went on to beat McClellan and barkley they were unique wins nobody else ever scored over those two.

when eubank scored his big wins Watson had already beat Benn and Watson had already been beat by mccallum. Nothing unique there. The whole Eubank-Benn- Watson triangle (regardless of how good each were, or how much money they made) was a domestic matter as far as the rest of the world was bothered and both had argued that they beat eubank as well anyway!

Eubank was just as good as Benn, but Benn went on the large scale fighting on both sides of the Atlantic and proving his versatility. Benn has a bigger legacy.

Much like Minter-Finnegan-Sibson 10 to 15 years earlier ...... except they didn't have a diluted "World" title label to stick on their fights.

Yeah, the late great Fighting Weight would back me up if he was still around.

Benn cheated on each of his wives hundreds of times each, was out clubbing before most fights, popping pills, mingling with dickhead Eastend gangsters, and losing his driving license twice for speeding in his Porsche's and Ferrari's, as well as a few club brawls during his career and the champaigne sex session with some blonde the night before the first Eubank fight, etc etc. Benn was immature.

Eubank was actually a very serious character.

Neither proved themselves the best in any division, that isn't really the point, to claim they weren't proven on the World or European stage though is laughable. To say they only proved themselves in Britain isn't true either, even Eubank beat Rochiagani an undefeated IBF champion, Holmes was an ex IBF champ, Malinga was a future champion. Close was a European Champ. Benn beat other champions like McClellan, Galvano (x2), Barkley, Malinga (lost really though), Nardiello

Bare in mind there was no lineage at 168 and the belts were divided at 160
