Not really close IMO...Pea is one of the best fighters I have ever seen and has the better names on his resume.

Not saying PBF isnt brilliant and one of the best fighters of his era but Pea is on another level I feel.

Definitely Whitaker as he has fought the tougher opponents. If Mayweather had fought the likes of Mosley, Tszyu, Cotto, Margarito, Williams. Then you could make a case for him. Talent wise there is not much between them.

Won't you just say you don't like Floyd and stop making stupid threads:patsch

Your attempt at comedy or sarcasm is really getting lame:roll:
First you make a thread about your "hero" rating higher than 2 guys he lost to now this....

What's next "Who do you rate higher" Manny or Roberto Duran:dead

I don't know who you are, what your point is, or why you think this is "comedy or sarcasm".

I'm actually a borderline fan of Floyd.

Both fighters have won 6 world titles, Floyd has won world titles at more weights but Pernell has arguabaley the better resume.

Its a legitmate question, if you don't like the thread of others which I make please feel free not to post in them :hi:

For the record, De La Hoya has won more world titles, at more weights, and has a better resume than both Molsey and Trinidad. Perhaps your own bias has blinded you to the fact that the question "who is better: De La Hoya, Mosley or Trinidad?" is also a perfectly legitimate one to ask.

Maybe you're not cut out for being a boxing fan, have you thought about golf instead?

pernell destoys floyds career. floyd is a better schooled fighter i feel, i think pernells defence and just boxing skill in general is based on his pue talent to see the punch coming. where as floyd is based on study.

pernell just at lightwieght could beat floyds whole career....forgetting that he won 3 titles in 3 divisons and held that welter title like his new born son.

even tho both won a 154 pound title....floyd beat oscar delahoya. a good fighter in his day but old and not in his best division. he had beat mayorga pretty easily but didnt look too bad. but still he was awarded a strap for being a celebrity. floyd took it even tho he got outhustled a bit.

pernell outclasses, out points and takes apart 3 year world champ julio cesar vasquez. vasquez had just beaten up ronald wright and been streaking for a long time. many at the time felt that vasquez's awkward aggresive southpaw style would of given norris or/and rosi a stern test.
