Who do you rate higher: Roy Jones or Mayweather?

rjj was more "godlike" in his prime compared to pbf...

pbf ducked so many prime fighters that it pales in comparison to what rjj fought...

 

Roy fought better competition

 

not really sure he is. sure hes an awesome elusive. but ward has a better allround package today.

theres quite a lot pbf cant do, ward can do pretty much everything across the board.


still, Floyd has that multiclass status, that counts for a lot.

 

I don't think he's the best in the sport head to head right now. But he's the top guy until he starts to look like **** or someone else does something spectacular. Conversely, when he was lacking the body of work in the early 2000s, he probably was the best fighter in boxing h2h.

 

Ranking a fighter is based on competiton , and Floyd's comp isn't even close to Roy's
