Simple question, all things considered, who do you rate more highly out of Hopkins and Calzaghe?

Please vote with your brain and NOT your passport.

On accomplishments I would say it was about even.

On resume I would suggest Hopkins clearly has the better resume.

On H2H, even though Calzaghe got the decision, Hopkins was more dominant against greater opposition and therefore I believe he is simply the better fighter.

    My vote goes to Hopkins.

This thread will do 10 pages.

And nothing that anybody says is going to change the fact that Hopkins is streets and streets ahead.

    B-Hop, obviously.

doesn't mean he beat Calzaghe - it was a fair decision. doesn't mean BHop was way past his prime when Calzaghe beat him - he is still fighting at an elite level.

but BHop's cv and longevity give him a big edge on this one.

    B-Hop...easily.
Personally, I thought B-Hop deserved the win when the two met. Aside from that, B-Hop has done more, beat better opposition, and continues to do so in his mid 40's!

Hopkins. And I don't mean that as a knock on Calzage as I hold him in a high regard as well. Hopkins is just on another level

Hopkins rates higher of course. However I'd rate Clazaghe better at 168. Hopkins is going to have to live with the Calzaghe loss.
