I always have trouble splitting these 2 so I went with Calzaghe as I knew before voting that Hopkins would have a big lead on the votes... perhaps the thread starter knew likewise being a non-Calzaghe man ;)

Ps. **** passports, Ive NEVER been a fan of a fighter because of where he`s from... I judge by styles.

I will never work you out Bill. You are a monster Morales fan, and El Terrible was the very definition of No Fear, fight anyone anywhere, fight only the best - in short, the true essence of what a boxer should be. Yet outwith that, you seem to go for the cherrypickers (Joe C, Floyd) over those with better resumes and a more Morales-like mentality (Pac, Hopkins). I don't understand you, and Erik would be ashamed of you!!

(just joking mate. What's your thoughts on the game tomorrow?)

A route Doc?! I can't provide something that I think is a futile nonsense. Sorry, there is not enough common ground for us to ever reach an entende or conclusion of any kind. I genuinely believe you talk 100% animal faeces on the basis of some syndrome that renders you unable to see reason when opposed. With the best will in the world, it's not worth the/any effort. From now on probably best you go your way and I go mine. And mine will never be making up fake routes for something that could've happened easily had any effort ever been made. Sayonara!

:-( Dear dear dear Dinamita. When are you going to let bygones be bygones? You were shameful on my JMM thread last night, trying to laugh at how everyone at last gets to see what you've known all along - that radab is really an *******. Funny thing was, though i was in a room nearly entirely comprised of *******s, very few people backed you up.

I'm not an *******. The only enemies i have around here are Bladerunner and yourself. I was actually starting to warm to you (despite your constant slagging.) And then you go and throw a childish insult like that.

Calzaghe, ability wise is underrated on ESB
Hopkins, ability wise is overrated on ESB

They would always struggle vs each other any time they fought IMO, Id lean towards Joe because of the pace he sets & his speed... Bernard is a thinker & there aint a lot of time to think with someone on your ass constantly but not just anyone, a good pressure fighter that is smart & knows how to box real good too.

How anyone doesnt see what a great fighter Calzaghe is is beyond me.

I do like fighters that fight anyone but I also like certain styles too (Morales was both so he was my fav bar none), I really like watching guys like FMJ & JC (as I do Pac & B-Hop actually) & I do wish JC & FMJ went about a lot of things differently, I dont agree with a lot of decisions either has made in their boxing careers but I still admire their ability... perhaps I put skills/ability higher on my preference list than other do but we all have our own preferences, thats why were here (ESB, not earth) I suppose.

As far as the old firm the mora - Im hoping for a celtic win but I think its going to be 0-0 or 1-1 being at ibrox n that... I reckon its gonna be a cautious affair because the end is near & whats at stake.

I'll never understand this belief that Hopkins didn't have unbelievable workrate, conditioning, stamina and energy levels, because that belief must be there since that's what most pro-Calzaghe comments focus on. Watch Hopkins fight from 97-03. He wasn't the same fighter he is now. Or more accurately, he was but he was more aggressive and simply better because he never had to worry about conserving energy or slowing things down, because he had remarkable fitness levels and output himself.

Comparatively, I believe I have watched a helluva lot of boxing in my life. Joe Calzaghe was never an elite fighter. He looked great against mediocre opposition, he performed to a genuinely top class standard against top drawer opposition for one half of one fight in a long, underwhelming and stupendously overrated career - the second half of the Kessler fight.

Ah **** it, the zero will always talk, no matter how it was achieved.
