You must be seeing things, if you saw me post i thought Hopkins won. I dont think either of them did enough to win. Niether man was effective enough to give a decision one way or the other, but if i had to choose one criteria. I would have leaned towards Hopkins ring generalship, because the only criteria you could of scored the fight under for Calzaghe was effective aggressor and he certainly wasn't that.

Its a simple equation you dont hit the opponent you dont score points. Coming foward and dry humping does not count.

Please.......i dont want to bring up the Branco Sobot's,Manfredo etc of the world up. You dont have a leg to stand on son. Hopkins beat and fought elite competition. Joe did not.

It's amusing when you put it like that isn't it :lol:

Slappy picked on his fair share of smaller men too, only difference is no-one knew who the **** they were so they weren't as documented as Hopkins wins over smaller guys. Hell I'd have paid good money to see Slappy fight Winky back in 2002 or so, that would have amused the **** out of me.

You're responding to Mendoza, who thinks that Lewis made Vitalys cuts worse with his dreadlocks and beard. I wouldn't bother, personally.

    Is Hopkins an elite fighter?

Well Calzaghe beat him, so that's beating "elite competition". For the guy who said Calzaghe didn't fight a Prime Hopkins, well Calzaghe wasn't in his prime either so it balances out.

When would you say Hopkins prime was, and why was that time his prime?

    When you answer that, STFU.

Mitchell (beltless - lost his WBA to Ottke three months earlier) fought Calzaghe in 2003.

    1. Bernard, middleweight, was 38 years old in 2003

    2. Mitchell never fought below supermiddleweight ( 168) ) in his entire career

    3.
    Interview: Byron Mitchell
    Ike Enwereuzor

Have you ever thought that Hopkins may move up to 168 to face you?
We got similar styles. I was in New York for a while, you wouldn't believe people kept saying to me, I look like Bernard Hopkins. I know we know how to fight. Well, never really thought of fighting Hopkins but if we have to it's business.

LMAO. So, Calzaghe is elite the way Leon Spinks is ELITE. Leon got a split decision over the GREATEST.

hopkins clearly. hopkins has a couple or so fights planned, and could further distance himself from calzaghe if he indeed goes through and beats adamek.

Hopkins is a career elite fighter - the only one in this thread's conversation. The p4p ranking by Ring Magazine is irrelevant.
