    That's your opinion.

Besides, the question is - who do you rate more highly. I rate more Calzaghe highly and my arugments convience me to think so.

Hopkins destroyed Glen Johnson while Calzaghe ducked him twice. Glen Johnson years later goes on to brutaly Ko's a 35yr old Roy Jones while Calzaghe beats a 40yr old Roy Jones although getting badly hurt in the process.

Yeah. I don't see how this is relevant. Johnson was green when B-Hop beat him, and Calzaghe never fought him.

Joe wasn't anything like 'badly hurt' against Jones either. I don't know where that comes from.

Firstly this is a forum where I give opinions so no I won't shut the **** up you ****.

De la Hoya and Trinidad are considered by many to be his biggest wins. FACT.

They are also fighters who's prime weight was at 147. FACT.

Jumping 2 stone above your natural weight class to fight a guy who was always big at the weight at 160 is a big deal whether you like it or not.

I was a massive fan of Joe yes but I was into boxing well before him at end of the 80s and will be for a long time yet.

Spot on. Calzaghe never truly attempted to secure a fight with Jones whereas Hatton insisted on fighting the best.

He seemed pretty hurt to me. Maybe you didn't see the first round. Of course JC showed his warriors heart to get up and dominate as he's done many times thought his career.

I just mentioned Glen Johnson as earlier on people where comparing opponents. I just wanted to mention a man who was supposed to be a common opponent had Calzaghe not pulled out twice.

I don't rate the De La Hoya win particularly highly because Oscar was a natural junior-middleweight. However, Trinidad was a big, tall and strong guy who was never a natural welterweight, and had proved himself at 160, not to mention the fact he was prime and unbeaten fighter who was expected to win. A fantastic victory for Bernard, I don't really see how anyone can suggest otherwise.

Ironically jumping up two weights from you 'natural' weight class is exactly what Hopkins did when he schooled Tarver. I'll await your response as to why this win isn't worth very much either.

He got knocked down in the first round by a forearm to the throat. I'm sure it hurt, but you make it sound like he was out on his feet or struggling to make the count. Which obviously wasn't the case, I don't think its fair to suggest that he was 'badly hurt' at any time against RJJ. It's an exagaration to suggest that.

Hopkins was never a natural 160 fighter. Do you know what he walks around at? He has admitted himself he was a crazy man to constantly make the weight for so many years.

I can't recall me not giving him credit for beating Tarver I don't know what you're talking about here.

    Yes.

I'm a big Calzaghe fan but I think the edge goes to Hopkins - he's faced pretty much the top decent fighters from 160-175
