How many mandatory defences did De La Hoya make? How many losses has he?

Trinidad was a beast at 147 and 154lbs, but was limited at middleweight and above.

    Calzaghe beat Hopkins.

Also, Eubank, Benn, Collins etc would have all beat the crap out of De La Hoya and Trinidad.

It always amuses me how people pick holes in Hopkins' resume, just to try and make Calzaghe's seem better than it actually is.

People keep bashing Calzaghe's resume, maybe he did not fight guys with big names. However think about this, very carefully. Hopkins for most of his career apart from Tarver, whenever he fought someone his own size he lost. Jones, Taylor who was a 6'1 middleweight as well (twice) and Calzaghe. His 'famous' wins are over welterweights-light middleweights in De la Hoya,Trinidad and winky wright. Kessler and Lacy are more dangerous from that point of view but people keep forgetting that.

B-Hop's greatest wins were ALL AGAINST SMALLER MEN (DLH, PAVLIK, TRINIDAD)

He lost to Roy Jones JR and Taylor.

Hopkins lost to RJJ when he was 28 and then didn't loose again until twice to Taylor when he was 40 and then to Calzaghe when he was 43. So When you look at it like that then Hopkins losses on his resume don't seem to detract from the fact that Calzaghe was unbeaten when comparing the two H2H, even when one of those loses was to Calzaghe himself.

You could even say that the only two things that beat Hopkins were RJJ and eventually age.

    Calzaghe's greatest wins--

A semi-retired and under-prepared FORMER MW in Eubank.

A controversial decision over FORMER MW Hopkins

A win over FORMER MW/JMW Kessler who did little of note before the fight and nothing since

A win over a bum in Lacy.
