Who do you regard as the last Undisputed Heavyweight Champion

Yes fully agree the sanctioning bodies and how they operate can be a mine field for fighters especially those looking for an Undisputed fight,which brings us to present day to see if any mandatory’s are called for Usyk but not sure which belt of his is due for the mandatory fight next. Same also for the Undisputed fight at Light Heavyweight between Bivol and Beterbiev but this fight seems a lot further away with Hearn seemingly wanting anything but the Undisputed fight and wants to see mandatory fights instead .

 

Firstly good debating by the way certainly better than the ducking threads that’s popular on here at the moment .In Tysons case he held all the belts like we mentioned but Spinks retired undefeated with the lineal title he took from Holmes with the IBF title Spinks also had being stripped from him for his refusal to fight Tucker. Tucker stopped Douglas in 10 rounds to win the now vacant IBF belt then lost the IBF belt to Tyson on points in his next fight around three months later iirc. Tyson craved the fight with Spinks so that he could get his hands on the Lineal title so his name could be mentioned in history alongside his hero Dempsey and the other Heavyweight greats as well as putting an end to any doubts if Spinks could beat him. One thing I did notice is back in Tysons era how more often the fighters fought than todays fighters making the fights what fans want to see happen unlike todays fights which we seem to have been waiting around for ever to happen.

 

Both Wilder and Joshua are as guilty as each other for there fight not happening,both of them even admitting to it .

 

At the time when Lewis fought Akinwande who had been the undefeated WBO champion Akinwande had vacated the belt and Hide was already the new WBO champion after he stopped Tucker in two rounds for the vacant belt .
