Plenty of links here to show Joshua also avoided Wilder, some even in his own words and also his team not wanting the Wilder fight ! Hence both Wilder and Joshua are as guilty as each other for the fight not happening ! Joshua ducked the Wilder fight for a considerably lot more money than they had offered Wilder .

You posted that Lewis fought the WBO champ but got stripped because of the WBC. That is not the case in either, Hide was already the new WBO champion before Akinwande fought Lewis as Akinwande had vacated the WBO belt to pursue the fight with Lewis .

Like I said. He fought the wbo champ. Don't let politics muddy the water.

Akinwande had the belt and never lost it in the ring.

So with that theory Lewis is still British Commonwealth European IBO WBC Champion as he never lost them belts in the ring ?

You could say I am a fanboy of Lennox. Glad you are still enjoying the game.

It’s Fury unless you think he lost that right during the period in life he was absent from the ring getting his mental health right. Wlad had 3 of the 4 major belts for years! And only silly politics kept him away from the 4th after his brother officially retired. The WBC swerved Wlad like plague. You really think Wlad would not have beaten Bermane Stiverne or Chris Arreola or Wilder.
Now if you want to say the Wbo wasn’t important then it was Lewis the last to have the big 3 belts. But honestly the last time their was real excitement to having all 3 was the rise of Tyson. 3 different men each had a belt and Tyson went through them one by one. It was a special time

    Lewis.
But that’s the beauty of the possible USYK fury fight

because there will be no question after that fight. Period…..no opinions will matter as it’ll be cut and dried.
    Unified…. undisputed…… undefeated

Hopefully but silly politics already creeping up into this fight too because Usyk might be stripped of one of his belts. Hope it doesn’t happen

i dont consider wlad cause his own brother might have kicked his ass in his day. i feel the last guy to take on, and beat, all credible threats is what the spirit of undisputed is. you own the ring.

    Technically, Lennox

But actually Wladimir Klitscko followed by Tyson Fury

Fury held every belt but the WBC

Then he made his comeback to win the WBC

So he beat the two men who proved they were worthy champions. Not inherited or bought belts. He earned them the hard way on away soil. Some would say even Wilder wasn't legit or worthy...

Wlad & Fury proved they were THE MEN

Did he hold all the belts at the same time? no...but so what that's impossible. In modern HW boxing it's impossible to hold all the belts - The winner of Fury Usyk will be stripped very quickly by one or even two bodies.

After Usyk legitimized himself chinning the bodybuilder then Fury's undisputed status became null and it now must be earned.

Boxing fans need to accept the belting status in boxing has become so bad that the definition of these titles like undisputed might need to change.

At the base level undisputed is the man who is seen as the best without question. Fury was the best HW after he beat Wilder although he had to wait to 2020 to officially get it on his record.

Usyk is a side show as will be shown very shortly...or not.

Its kinda like the IBO today. It's a farce. The absolute last thing we need is a 5th "champion" in the same 1 weight class - no thanks.

Lewis and Tyson were both undisputed.
