It's Lennox Lewis, I didn't know this was something that people actually debated, I thought this was an agreed upon fact.

    Klitchko

Not the strongest Era but beating Haye, Povetkin, Pulev probably done that.

To be undisputed you have to hold all the major titles of that era at the same time, Wlad held the WBA/IBF/WBO simultaneously but he never won the WBC.

He was lineal and unified, but not undisputed.

    "numerous of offers"

None of us are privy to the small print of those "offers". For example, did they entail Joshua having exclusive home and A-side advantage or a one-way rematch clause à la Whyte-Povetkin, Joshua-Ruiz and Joshua-Usyk? We know that they weren't 50-50, Hearn didn't entertain 50-50 until after Fury-Wilder 2.

Both sides were being greedy and playing their positions. Neither side were desperate to make the fight.

"in his words felt sorry for Fury"

If you've got any intelligence you shouldn't take what Wilder says seriously or literally. Wilder fought Fury because beating Fury would have made him lineal champion, significantly raised his profile, built the Joshua fight and got him better terms with Joshua.

    "cherry pick gone wrong"

Fury was closer to Wilder oddswise in fight 1 and fight 2 than any Joshua opponent was to him barring Usyk 2. Fury was regarded as being a more dangerous opponent to Wilder than anyone Joshua had fought was to him at that point.

Barring Povetkin, every Joshua opponent post-Wlad (Takam, Parker, Ruiz x2, Pulev, Usyk x2, Franklin) has been a relatively light puncher. It doesn't say much about their confidence in his chin, or their willingness to fight a KO artist like Wilder.

Everyone knows that Wilder has more courage than Joshua because we've seen it in the ring. Wilder is also more confident and delusional than Joshua, so less likely to duck. And Joshua admitted in 2018 that he didn't fear losing a points decision, he really feared being KO'd with one punch, which is how Wilder would have beaten him.

The one time Wilder made an offer it was a email from Wilders personal contract stating $50m. No terms or conditions included and had 24 hours to accept.

It was basically a PR stunt for suckers.

The fact he sacked his manager for brining to the table to listen to offer with the ex manager confirming Wilder, Finkel and Haymon had no real intention of making the fight.

Whilst Wilder has received numerous contracts offer for the fight over the years each of which were over double Wilders career high purse at the time.

It's clear that AJ and his team were extremely making the fight whilst Wilders team had no interest at all.

Not sure what this thread is about . A quick google search tells us that lennox lewis was the last undisputed hw champion without any room for discussion about anybody else.

Wlad was for all intents and purposes. After Vitali retired, Sulaiman became obsessed with having an American belt holder.

Wlad was the last clear heavyweight champion after Vitali retired.
Had Fury not clowned around for years or if he sctually finds his balls and fights Usyknwe might get a clear answer on this.

I wanna say Lennox but quite frankly you can make an argument Wlad was. I can't really blame him for not obtaining the WBC given the situation. After his brother dropped off, that belt was pretty much hidden from his grasp. Everyone knows Wlad was the legit champion.
