Well at the moment out of 17 divisions you've only got 3 Muricans as top dogs. That tells a story.

    Wladimir Klitschko

Marco Huck for cruiserweight historical standing but not in the history of boxing all together

Kovalev is a guy who is on his way especially if he can beat Stevenson and draw Ward up and beat him

Ward Id say yes lock but considering how much he squandered all progress Im doubting it though what he did in a few yrs span was great, def on the list all time for 168

Cottois a guy that a teeter back and forth on, he has fought so many big names and was so devastating at 140 and early at 147 but he has mostly vacated titles or wins over injured guys and doesn't really have the defining win. Though he gave Floyd a good fight

    Floyd and Manny definite locks

    Roman Gonzalez

Pac, Maywetaher and Hopkins of those still active. Wlad certainly got a case as well.

I think Wlad is on the verg of making some people's top 10.. And considering that there a lot of all time great heavys who don't make most people's top 10 I think that says something.

I think Wlad is an ATG in both decades. Agree with the picks. Might add Kovalev to the list if he can keep winning.

I see Kovalev as a work in the making,,,a real atg on his way....and Cotto should spit or get off the pot...either put his middleweight title on the line against GGG or just retire.

There is a simple diagnostic test.

If a fighter had done the equivalent in 1930, would I regard them as being great, or on their way to being great?

The next five years will be the Golovkin, Kovalev and Lomachenko era.

Mosley should be too, his best win was in 2001 after all. I would say Winky Wright over there as well but yeah maybe not many would agree with me on this one.

But is Mosley an ATG? Those two wins over De La Hoya is about all he has. But he falls apart in 2002 and starts losing to Forrest, Wright, Cotto, Mayweather, Pacquiao. He loses too much and doesn't have enough solid wins to be a great fighter of the 2000 decade. In the 90s it's disputable as well since all he's got there is a bunch of defenses of the IBF title. He doesn't even unify.

Makes me wonder if Hopkins deserves to be considered an ATG in the 90s since his record isn't any better. All his good wins came in the 2000s. I mean on paper, Ivan Calderon did more in the 2000s than Mosley and Hopkins did in the 90s, but do we consider him an ATG?

Mosley, like Cotto, are guys who I think qualify as pretty good but fall just shy of being great.
