I say potential because there's always the chance he pulls another sick note. It prob won't be any so-called 'elite' HW either. If I were him, I would go for one of the following: Erkan Teper (destroyed Price and is European champion) Steve Cunningham (both former CW champions) Bryant Jennings (did relatively well against Wlad and would be a good statement if Haye could KO him) Vyacheslav Glazkov (another good statement if he could get the KO)
Some bum without a pulse for sure. Haye is broke (had to auction off his whole gym equipment) and can't pay a solid purse that a solid contender would ask for.
Haye is very carefull with his selections. He won't go for a rough matchup, unless it's the biggest money option. So forget Teper, Helenius, Povetkin, Jennings, Takam or Pulev for now. He will select someone flawed enough to allow him to get a clean KO, without being spoiled at all. Mark the Dori, as rumored, fit the bill. The pole Warczyk, Malik Scott, Briggs, Dimitrenko and Steve Cunningham may be considered too. Bellew is also an option now, having asked for the fight. If the date is a little further away in 2016, names like Chagaev, Adamek, D. Price, Wilder, are possible.
