    I dont have a preference

Its wrong to favour a style as its a premeditated way of scoring

    Subconsciously

Good, and is it also wrong to score close rounds to the Champ simply because he's the Champ. Isn't that also a premeditated way of scoring?

there is nobody below 175 that has a LEGIT chance of winning butte scheduled to fight the WBO SMW Champ currently and his last few fights have been vs the WBA SMW Champ, WBO LHW Champ, IBF MW Champ, WBC/WBA MW Champ, WBA SMW titlist, with a gimme mandatory thrown in...
Now tell me who has GGG fought in his career that’s shown themselves to be any good, dude fought 1 great fighter twice and a draw and a loss and after that what... Jacobs who he went 50/50 with who wasn’t a real champ until AFTER the fight cmon

buterelo had 1 boxer in the ring who had chances to beat him and not loss on domestic Vegas cards and he had lost this fight.
God Bless Floyd Jr. He was enough well known, coming from well known boxing family to get fair cards vs buterelo.

In general, but particularly in regard to Canelo GGG 1. Some GGG fans have argued that close rounds should be scored to the Champ because he's the Champ.

Like in this post #84 here -

    https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/boxing-myths-that-need-to-die-asap.665086/page-6

So he's claiming that GGG won the first fight in his mind by at least 4 clear rounds. At the same time, he claims that "GGG was not given any benefit of the doubt after being champion for so long".

He's contradicting himself, because first, why would GGG need any benefit of the doubt for being Champ for so long if he won the match by "at least" 4 clear rounds. And the facts just don't support the idea that GGG won by 4 clear rounds.

Look at the round by round fan poll -

    https://www.eyeonthering.com/boxing/gennady-golovkin-vs-saul-alvarez

The fans did not conclude that GGG won by 4 clear rounds let alone by ANY clear rounds. The fans had Canelo winning half the rounds (1-3 & 10-12) and GGG winning the other 6 rounds.

It's obvious that he thinks that GGG should have won SIMPLY because he was the Champ so he should have gotten any benefit of the doubt in the close rounds. Ironically GGG did get the benefit of the doubt in rounds 4-6 which were all close and in round 3 a pretty clear Canelo round by 2 of the judges, which allowed him to retain his title.

So he's complaining that GGG didn't get the benefit of any doubt there. But if any of those judges would have given Canelo round 3 (as he deserved), or any round 4-6 Canelo would have won. GGG got every single one of those rounds on 2 judges scorecards. SO what do you make of his argument that because GGG was Champ, he should have gotten the benefit of the doubt in close rounds. Were rounds 4-6 not close rounds, did GGG time and time again not get the benefit of the doubt there? Those could have gone either way, but GGG was given each of those rounds by 2 of the judges allowing him to keep his title. So what's there to complain about? The truth is the judges gave GGG tons of benefit of the doubt in those close rounds, with two judges scoring those rounds for him each time, even round 3 which was a great Canelo round.

What does that have to do with anything. We're not talking about Roy praising GGG's amataur experience. We're talking about fighters reaction to Canelo GGG 1.

Listen to what RJJ said at the beginning of this interview which was a week after Canelo GGG 1 -

    This content is protected

The headline of this video is "ROY JONES JR: I THOUGHT GGG WON! EXPLAINS WHY CANELO WINS REMATCH"

Yet nowhere in the video did Roy say GGG won.

Comments pointing out that RJJ never said GGG won -

When did Roy say he thought GGG won?! Who titled this video n lied on Roy?! Hahahahah y’all crazy!!!

at no point did he say he though ggg won, everything aside that is just irresponsible to do as a credible youtube boxing channel. he said he gave the edge to kovalev not ggg

He didn't say he thought GGG won. it's typical the kind of deception that always is necessary to make GGG a star. Lying about what Roy Jones said does not make GGG a winner.

Here's what RJJ actually said -

"It all depends on what a judge fancies the most"

"Canelo landed a lot of big punches in big rounds, he may not have landed as many as GGG did, but he landed big punches and really we was expecting some big punches landed from GGG not from him"

"He (Canelo) was landing the big punches, GGG was landing the more punches"
