Who do you think GGG will fight next?

I'd like to see him fight Eubank jr. That would be fun.

 

I know you're trying hard to defend GGG saying he wasn't hurt. But the G man did a little dance there. His legs started to betray him following that right hand and GGG trying so desperately to quickly counter as he habitually does after getting rocked by big shots from Canelo. Pride goes before the fall. GGG instinctively tried to quickly throw that right hand to show he wasn't uhrt, but in the process there was a delayed reaction to the punch he absorbed. All Canelo had to do was move his arm up to change the trajectory of GGG's punch and GGG started stumbling and bumbling. The crowd rose to their feet sensing GGG was wobbled. And GGG stumbled again later in the round following a body shot. By the 11th round Canelo started giving GGG feints knowing that GGG was very wary of Canelo's power and speed.

 

You must have watched a different fight. One of the things that was the most obvious in that fight was Canelo couldnt hurt GGG even with his Sunday punch.

 

LOL winning 8 straight rounds in an "extremely competitive" fight according to you? Even winning rounds while being rocked and stumbling around the ring? Round 1? Quina disagrees, he pointed out that Canelo landed the cleaner jabs in round 1. Didn't you see the clean jabs that round by Canelo?

 

Then why was GGG stumbling around and losing his balance after absorbing shots? Why was he biting on feints in the 11th? What about the ropes sequence with a minute left in the 11th?

I think it really just comes down to interpretation. We're watching the same match but we're judging it and interpreting what's happening differently. Maybe you're focusing on certain things and not putting as much of an emphasis on the aspects of the match that I am. That doesn't make you wrong, this is obviously open for debate, but personally I find it hard to understand anyone that can score rounds 10 and 11 for GGG. I mean to score those rounds for GGG it's like you fail to appreciate the finer points of boxing. The little things that we love about the sport, the ability to make a guy miss, and make him pay. The ability to go back to the ropes, make a guy miss two punches wildly with your back on the ropes, then feint a guy out of his mind. To come out in the first 10 seconds of a round and set the tempo by landing a big emphatic right hand, then using footwork and giving your guy angles and make him miss over the next minute. Eating a few jabs here and there along the way but not letting it deter you from fighting your fight and setting up more big punches that make an impact on the opponent and the judges.

 

Yeah it sounds like he pretty much scored the fight for you huh.

 

Canelo stumbled in round one, i guess he must have been hurt. A stumble is a stumble.

No, i put it on mute, have a dvd player and if i miss something I'll play it back in slow motion because sometimes its hard to see what lands in real time. I dont like to be influenced by commentary either.

 

No just trying to get away from that jab that was already beginning to take control.

 

It was competitive, plus we weren't used to seeing GGG in competitive fights. Usually GGG won via beat down. Kind of like Hearns until he met Sugar Ray you know, only GGG should have got the win.

 

dude why are you even continuing to waste your time with this, you’ve already time stamped an entire round and called out activity for both fighters and ppl still ignored it.
Look GGG stans are going to make any and every excuse about that fight and about his career in general the sooner you accept that the happier you’ll probably be.
