You missed a lot from both fighters, and you emphasise a lot of not really impactful, scuffing shots from Canelo

2:50 Stiff jab GGG (if you can't see watch in normal speed, and slow motion, clearly stiff)
2:42 right hand over the top GGG followed by stiff Jab
    2:38 nothing lands from Canelo
2:36 Uppercut from Canelo through the guard looks to be dampened by the guard being there. Left hook body, clean. Right hook on gloves before possibly hitting chin. Nothing really damaging bar potentially the left hook
2:30 slap left hook from Canelo, followed up by uppercut. And right hand to
the top of GGG hands..nothing looks real damaging or impactful. Uppercut looks
    like it lands cleanest.
2:23 Left hook right hand from Canelo. Actual clean punches from Canelo surprisingly. GGG Looks quite clearly off balance as he was throwing at the same time. If he was hurt he wouldnt proceed to land solid jabs in Canelo's face straight after. Didn't you argue Canelo wasn't hurt in round 10 against Golovkin despite shying away for good 10 seconds?
2:20 Two uppercuts GGG. Just as meaningless as some of those other Canelo uppercuts
2:19 inside gloves slaps followed by poking/touching GGG with his glove
    2:15 three stiff jabs GGG
2:10 right hand Canelo hits gloves before appearing to connect. In fact looks like he takes it all on the glove.
2:09 right hook from GGG appears to land followed by down hook on forehead which may land but has nothing in it.
    1:55 Jab GGG
1:54 GGG down hook on Canelo's forehead
    1:52 Clean right hand GGG
1:42 Jab GGG and right hook behind guard
1:40 Siff jab GGG followed by left hook but Canelo appears to roll hard to see
    1:36 two stiff jabs GGG
    1:23 stiff jab GGG
1:18 two right hand leads from GGG, first appears heavier
    1:02 Jab Canelo
0:48 Stiff jab GGG followed by slapping from Canelo and left hook from Canelo that may lland to body difficult to see
0:30 Uppercuts GGG nothing in them
0:23 did not land from Canelo
0:16 sitff jab GGG followed by uppercut to Canelo's forehead
0:14 three solid jabs, two from GGG one from Canelo. Good right hand GGG that looks to land.

Some of your points like 2:18, Golovkin looking hurt by a "right uppercut, left hook, right hook 3-punch combo. followed by a jab" that was literally inside gloves slaps followed by poking/touching GGG with his gloves. You're seeing what you want to see. That left hook from Canelo at 2:14, looks like it hits GGG gloves, and is an inside slap regardless. The both jabs landing at the same time 2:12...Golovkin's clearly hits clean first before Canelo overxtends and grazes GGG. The following "massive right hand" hits mostly GGG gloves. 2:05 are you kidding me lmao, Canelo's jab lands flush OK mate. 2:04...this is getting ridiculous now, slapping the top of someone's head is a clean punch? 2:01 that left hook completely misses lmao this is hilarious seriously I thought you were actually going to come back with some argument.

1:55 that punch was actually very good, and 1:52 , omg you're actually going to argue punching shoulders with a probing right hand is cleaner than the 1:55 punch. I'm actually lost for words. 1:34 inside glove slap to GGG hip that you can't even see?

0:45 hard left hook to body? that's not clear at all could have landed on GGG's arms elbows or with Canelo's inside glove as usual

"Big right hook by Canelo at 0:12. GGG tries to counter with a jab, then both men land hard jabs at the same time, GGG misses a follow-up right hook as Canelo pulls away."

That's not a big right hook lmao, literally grazed him, GGG landed two stiff jabs, Canelo landed a stiff jab and then GGG RH does land but Canelo rolls with it.

Again Shadow, I don't what to say to you reading your response because it's fairytale. Many punches you've mentioned don't even land, are scuffing punches or with the inside gloves. Canelo's best work is clearly at the beginning and there isn't that significant amount of punches that land clean apart from the left hook right hand. It's up for to debate whether Golovkin was hurt, but IMO, he was caught off balance throwing a punch. Those punches were clean though. Golovkin subsequently landed stiff jabs and continued to press Canelo, whilst throwing punches.

As I said before, Canelo lands good punches in the first 45 (a lot are not clean or impactful), but Golovkin dominates with a stiff jab and lands clean heavy punches of his own throughout. It's a close round of course, but you just can't give Canelo the round for the reasons I've stated, he just doesn't do enough. You overemphasise Canelo's punching and that's typical of Canelo fanboy

You could have saved a bunch of typing and just gone with the executive version.

I realised this with Shadow's scoring a long long time ago. :deal:

Thanks for telling me, I think I'd be braindead by the time I read through "his round 11"

I found his scoring amusing nevertheless. He went through a phase where he'd add adjectives to Canelo's punches to make them sound more impressive. "Neck-twisting, sweat-spraying" was a particular favourite of his

"Neck-twisting, sweat-spraying" was your line, which was you jokingly trying to describe my descriptions of punches. Though funnily enough as we go through Canelo GGG 1 it's hard to miss the sweat flying off GGG from punches like from that Canelo right hand early on in Round 10 when GGG did his little dance.

No, no, I specifically remember you using that combination in some of your earlier Canelo / GGG threads. That's why I said it. I think you also used "head-snapping" :D

As he was throwing "at the same time"? GGG wasnt throwing at the same time. GGG was standing there trying to block and GGG's looping right hand was an attempt at a counter punch after absorbing the big right hand. You saying GGG throwing at the same time shows you're not seeing what happened clearly. I broke it down for you, GGG had a habit in their first match of trying to quickly respond with a punch after being rocked with a big shot to show he wasn't hurt. This is what caused him to lose his balance, because he rushed that looping right hand after being hit rather than placing it and timing it.
LOL wow - takes it all on the glove? Get outta here - it was a big right hand, got through above the glove, hit him right across the brow, turned GGG's head. Don't make me post a screenshot!

I think I used "head-snapping" before, but not "neck-twisting" until you said that.

The right hook landed clean above the glove. GGG had his gloves lower like he was trying to block his neck, not his face. If you watch it in slow-mo it makes it look like less impressive. But as a 3-punch combo watching it in real-time it was impressive. I'm not saying they were massive shots or anything but Canelo put those punches together rather well. And when I said GGG looked hurt there, I'm not saying those specific punches caused him to be hurt, GGG was in the process of trying to re-gather himself from being off balance moments before. Like he was waiting for Canelo to throw some punches before he returned fire.

Hard to tell from the angle, may have gotten some glove but also appeared to connect across GGG's chin. Describing Canelo's punches as slaps is pretty funny. You wanna see slaps watch Joe Calslappy, Canelo is actually punching.

GGG's got in first slightly, they both landed their jabs at *about* the same time. Both fighters backed up after receiving the jab.

It may have nicked the inside of GGG's right glove but it did land near the mouth. Not particularly hard but that's a landed punch, whereas GGG's jab that was being thrown at the same time may have landed as well though it's hard to tell from the angle. Neither jab had much impact to be fair.

I didn't describe it as a "clean" punch, so you're misrepresenting what I said. GGG was hunched over with his head down, Canelo looped the shot over G's glove and yes it hit GGG on the top of his head, then ricocheted off. It was a landed punch, GGG didn't get his glove up in time to block it, but I wouldn't describe it as "clean" since it hit G on the top of his head. But that was because GGG was hunched over with his head down. Still good accuracy there by Canelo to loop the right hook around the glove and hit the target.

This is an interesting one and I thought you might say it missed. I know it's hard to tell if it clips his nose or if it misses, this is the best frame I can find -

    imgur.com/QxFhXEBl.jpg

It appears to connect, but it's hard to be 100% sure since GGG was moving his head to the right trying to land a left hook of his own and missing wildly. GGG's hook missed wildly, while Canelo's appeared to clip GGG right on the nose as it grazed by his face. What happened was GGG saw Canelo loading up on a left hook so he tried to throw a left hook at the same time but Canelo's got there first while GGG's was late as it whizzed over Canelo's shoulder.

The jab or the left hook over the top? The jab didn't have any power or impact but it landed. The left hook over the top? "But it hit him on the top of the head, so it wasn't clean". The left hook was OK, sort of like the one Canelo landed over the top earlier in the round with GGG leaning over. This time Canelo's leaning over and GGG did a similar thing landing a left hook over the top around the glove. This one appeared to hit Canelo near the back of the head and pushed his head down as Canelo leaned down. Weird spot to land a punch, wouldn't call it clean just like I didn't call Canelo's clean when he landed on the top of GGG's head, but still a decent punch from GGG getting it over the glove to the top / back of Canelo's head.

Ah, yea, because you know it hit GGG in the face. Didn't hit shoulders, hit the left side of G's face. Punch was moving downward so by the end it looks like it's on his shoulder. You can see the impact from the punch, GGG's head is pushed to the right from impact -

    imgur.com/WOGSDKFl.jpg

    imgur.com/wv36FKLl.jpg

Hard to see, appeared to hit GGG on the upper part of the belt-line. This affected GGG though, like "whoa what was that" he looked surprised at how hard it was because he backed up and sort of re-set himself before engaging again.

Hard to see from the angle, but it caused GGG to reach out and clinch.

It was an eye-catching punch, wouldn't say it landed hard, but it definitely tagged GGG. More than just a graze, GGG tried to avoid it, wasn't fast enough to. By the way GGG's two jabs, wouldn't call them stiff. First one seemed to surprise Canelo more than anything. Laded but didn't have much on it. 2nd GGG jab wouldn't call it stiff either. These jabs had "Average" impact, not light but not hard either. Canelo's jab landed harder and with more power than either of GGG's jabs in this sequence.

You're saying that GGG right hook landed? Haha, how can you tell from that angle? Canelo appeared to avoid it. Didn't see any impact to the head.

Though we disagree on a lot and interpret punches differently, Quina at least we're having real debate about it. And I would like to hear some of your responses to my responses here. Particularly in response to the screenshots I posted. I know we're not gonna agree on everything, but we should try to find some areas tht we can agree on.

GGG did land a lot of head snapping jabs in both matches. Canelo had his share of head snapping jabs as well. But Canelo landed more head snapping power punches in both matches.

It's a mute point. Canelo landed a right hand clean, Golovkin tried throwing too soon and was off balance. When you get tagged by a shot and try immediately throwing you can get off balance. It's not rocket science, off balance does not at all necessarily mean someone is hurt. You say GGG had a "habit of trying to quikcly respond with a punch after being rock with a big shot to show he wasn't hurt"...yeah or he actually wasn't hurt, and Canelo doesn't punch as mystically hard as you believe. And also, my bad it wasn't a left hook right hand from Canelo it was another slap hook right hand from Slapnelo.

    This content is protected

1:26 - if you want to call that left slap a clean punch because it may slightly brush GGG's face after hitting his forearms, then go for it, but it's not.

And that right hand 100% clearly hits the glove before making contact with GGG watch in 0.25 speed and again your over emphasising the shot and the impact. You can screenshot all you like, watching the video in slow motion is clearer

I have no idea how to do that reply thing you're doing but here we go..

The 2:18 three punch combo you mention - in slow motion and in normal speed I can see all but the uppercut are inside slaps with nothing in them. I wouldn't call any of that clean. Watch it again normal and at 0.25x. Everytime someone throws punch you're going to have to somewhat reset yourself, every boxer does this.

2:14, I'd say I'm 95% confident that hits mainly GGGs gloves...and it's mainly inside glove, so again... you say Canelo punches aren't slaps but I see him use the inside glove all the time for both head and body shots. He does it a lot.

2:12 GGG was a stiff clean jab, by the time Canelo's jab landed it was literally a scuffing shot.

2:05 one that at best touch Golovkins mouth and I doubt even did. And two, look at Canelo's arm as he's not even throwing tha jab. It's not a stiff arm either. If you're scoring anything from that I'd be extremely worried.

2:04 I'm misinterpreting what you said? You said Canelo lands a nice right hook to the top of GGGs head. He literally slaps down on GGGs head, and it's certainly not clear at all whether it even taps his head. If he had actualyl properly landed a fist on the top of head/forehead then I'd give credit. Please dude just watch that back slow mo, and normal speed, it was literally nothing.

2:01 you can't tell with frames, you actually have to watch the video. And it does not appear to connect at all, if it connected it may have clipped his lips, there's literally nothing in it here and you're reaching heavily.

1:55 I never said hitting the top of head or forehead is not clean, I said slapping and barely touching the opponents top of the head is. GGG's left hook was actually very good and nothing like what Canelo landed previosly lmao.

1:52 again you're not really showing anything with those frames, you need to actually watch the video. Canelo at best scrapes Golovkins left cheek with a probing right hand that does absolutely nothing...nothing like the punch before at all. Come on man.

1:34 watch again slow mo, it's an inside glove to the hip maybe even the back, not clean.

0:45 Golovkin's elbow and arm was in positiont to potentially block. Conjecture as to whether it landed

0:12 It wasn't an eye catching punch. It grazed him as he was retreating. Your belief that Canelo landed harder with the jabs is conjecture. GGG jabs knocked his head back.. Just looked at the sequence again it looks like Canelo lands to the chest.

With the right ahnd from GGG at the end of the round...yeah you're right that the angle makes it hard to see but it does kinda look like it lands ..who knows, but Golovkin looked in range for it.
