I think Mungia or Murata would be very good tests realistically. Both are fights he could have a real hard time with if he has any style issues still going on with Banks. If GGG was still with Sanchez i would say GGG destroys them both by the 10th round, but GGG decided to go with a change to keep things interesting. So i respect his decision to change trainers if thats what he feels he needs to do to stay interested but I'm not convinced he is as good against all styles as he was before, i will have to see more to know for sure. He looked great against Szeremeta, but he was easy work for GGG. That being said, he is still an excellent fighter and i would like to see him fight the two mentioned, also Eubank jr, Brant, Williams, a rematch with Derevyanchenko, and of course Andrade and Charlo. He can polish up his legacy a little with these young top contenders that are willing to face him in his twilight years as appose to the top guys years ago that were avoiding him, like Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, and Quillin, thay would all be additional notches on GGG'S belt.
I heard Canelo wants a rematch with the shell of Chavez jr After all didnt Oscar call it the fight to decide the best fighter in mexico. Ive seen a heavy bag move better that Chavez LOL
Scared of what ????? Chavez jr or Canelo ??? I'd beat their asses same time lol Mexicans can FIGHT!!! thats why they disowned Canelo lol
I will never understand it. Like, this guy is a once in a generation fighter that we got to witness. Just enjoy his time left in the ring.
I enjoyed seeing Canelo give GG a boxing lesson, show that GG was massively overhyped and exposed when he met Canelo, then I enjoyed seeing Canelo give him the beating of his life in the rematch after GG whined about Canelo not fighitng Mexican Style in the first fight. I have plenty of respect for GG as a fighter, but to live in denial that Canelo is his superior and is far more talented than GG ever was is living in a land of delusion. I don't know about you, but I can enjoy GG's time left in the ring, as a side stage of a fighter riding out the sunset of his career, after failing to defeat Canelo in two attempts and thus showing that he's not on the level of Canelo. GG is a good solid fighter who gave Canelo two tough tests. Canelo conquered GG, left him in the dust after that rematch, and continues to prove to be a far greater fighter than GG ever was.
Murata would be very legit. Absolutely nothing to complain about there. Munguia would also be acceptable for me (ironic considering the history).
