I think if they wrestle, which is a good indicator of strenght and stamina, Vitale will win.

Wladimir is much stronger physically. He throws punches more powerfully. He has better textbook skills.

Vitali has the sturdier chin, and that much ballyhooed "awkwardness". In no other area does he trump his brother. (I'd go as far as to say not even stamina)

How come we have never seen the stamina collapse from Vitali that we have seen from Wlad?

Vitali also has a shitload advantage in Ring IQ.

Wrong. Post-Kronk Wladimir has as high or higher a ring IQ.

When's the last time you saw a collapse in stamina from Wladimir? :think

Yet it's Vitali who quit once, while Wlad always kept going until the bitter end.

Vitali is physically stronger, Samuel Peter in the first fight shoved Wladimir around like he's nothing, Vitali was able to wrestle with Lewis in the clinches.
Having superior punching power and hand speed doesn't mean your stronger.

Manny Steward's comments to Wlad against Eddie Chambers would not support that view at all.

Manny was utterly frustrated at the way Wlad was fighting.

Him improving from being very suspect, is no reason to suspect that he now can match Vitali for stamina.

    Wlad ruined Peter though....
It's because Wlad is so extremely cautious.

Sometimes that can bring extra risk when you don't finish your opponent.

Now it is Wlad, but Vitali 10-15 years ago was a beast. Wlad always had the stronger punch though.

It doesn't, no - but in this case Wladimir happens to have both those things and be stronger...which is observable beyond your one anecdotal example.

Wlad routinely carries big heavies in the clinch. There's no reason to think he couldn't hold his own grappling with Lennox as well as his brother.

As for Peter, that's down to a) styles and b) the versions of Peter that each met. Wladimir, the first time, got a much better Peter than Vitali in his comeback. Sam was a tank back then. His style was also going to be one to force Wladimir on the backfoot (as Wladimir is a straight-lines boxer) whereas Vitali uses more free range of movement.

So as for one getting "pushed" by Peter and the other not, that's not down to strength so much as styles. (and the fact that between the two, Peter got ten pounds fatter and was beginning to slip)

    :good

It is obvious Wlad is stronger and he had more punching power. But Wlad never puts his whole punching power into a punch. He punches and think about punching because IMO Wlad does not want to hurt his opponent too much. This is the reason Wlad holds back his power. He is a man with brain who does not want to kill his opponent in the ring.
