Charles Oliveira was excited about him joining UFC and he hasn't failed to impress yet. Tough task for him next in Miller but I think he will get the win. Wouldn't mind seeing Palhares Vs Nate II. I honestly thought Nate was done once he got a hold of his leg. Shame Palhares turned into a spastic in that fight too Anyone know the name of the Japanese guy who done the double German Suplex in dream wouldn't mind watching him again either

Oliveira is a great pick. Jones will continue to rise. Maximo Blanco and Yasubey Enomoto are two other guys to keep an eye out for.

In a weird way...Jose Aldo. I mean its stupid to say that - he's been a Fighter of the Year contender for the past two years - but with him finally in the UFC he's perfectly positioned to make the most of the extra exposure to become a huge star. Likewise Dominick Cruz is a dark horse - partlcularly with how the bigger cage will help him remain ellusive. Jon Jones is a weird one - everything really depends on how Evans/Rua goes. If Evans wins then Jones' career really slows down due to the jackson camp's rules against teammates fighting. Personally I'd love to see him move up to heavyweight - Velasquez-Jones would be one for the ages.
Phil Davis would be my pick, he's got a load of potential. Gerald Harris is also fighting tonight at UFC 123 and he's been on a tear at middleweight. Johny Hendricks has the wrestling credentials and is 4-0 in the UFC so far. There isn't much hype behind him yet but he could be a dark horse in the division. Charles Oliveira is another good choice, and I think Evan Dunham will bounce back well from the Sean Sherk robbery. George Sotiropoulos might well fight for the title in Australia next year, though I think most people already consider him a a contender at 155lbs. In the UFC's heavyweight division, Stefan Struve is young and getting a lot of fights under his belt fast. If he can improve his stand-up game and learn to use his huge height and reach advantages more effectively, I could see him becoming a legitimate contender in the next year or so. In Strikeforce Daniel Cormier and Lyle Beerbohm are the ones to watch. Good thread! :thumbsup
Hendricks is a good shout. I remember he had a good bit of hype built up behind him but I haven't seen much since. I haven't seen a decent video of it just pics but Marcos Rogerio de Lima beating Filho in his 8th fight has to be a good start. I'm not sure on Stuve yet still needs to add more to his game thought he was in big trouble with that morecraft guy. This content is protected
Forgot to add Edson Barboza, who just won his UFC debut by TKO from leg kicks. His striking is sick, and his ground game doesn't seem to be very far behind.
