    ROSS PURRITY stopped Wladimir...

    ...Vitali stopped him.

    CORRIE SANDERS stopped Wladimir...

    ...Vitali stopped him.

SAMUEL PETER dropped Wlad 3 times and only lost to him by 3 points...

...he couldn't win one minute of one round v Vitali.

Vitali has a higher KO ratio, less defeats, has never been KO'd, looked the equal of Lennox Lewis in a fight...

Wlad possibly has better technical skills, but Vitali is clearly the stronger fighter overall.

Thoughts/opinions? I'm open to hearing the pitch from the other side most definitely.

You forgot Chris took vitali's title in 10 rounds, while wlad won every minute of 19 rounds vs Chris Bryd.

I think Wladimir Klitschko is the much better fighter in nearly every department. he never got his chance to prove himself vs lennox in 2001-2002 despite being # 1 rated. Wlad is defintley the more talented of the two

Vitali's always been a bit more patient.

Vitali was beating Byrd easily, so the fact he injured his shoulder and "lost" doesn't really have any relevance here. Both brothers got the better of Byrd in combat.

Vitali is head and shoulders above Wlad... Always has been. If he hadn't been ridden by injuries and without the presence of his brother he would have become the undisputed champ years ago.

If you want unskewed opinions, this is not the best time to ask this question. Tonight, Vitali proved that he can dominate a short, unskilled, lazy fighter and neutralize whatever power punches this type of opponent has. Whether he can do this against a taller, more skilled fighter at the top level, still remains to be proven. I will give Wlad the nod for now.

skill wise and aesthetics, i'd say wlad. he looks smoother than vitali who can be awkward at times, especially a couple of years ago when he was'nt shy pulling the trigger. a lot of journalists pre-sanders also pegged wlad as the one to look out for. but in terms of the whole package? vitali by a considerable margin. mentally stronger than wlad, with a killer instinct that his brother does'nt have. vitali is a destroyer, i vote vitali.

No, vitali did NOT get the better of bryd...because he LOST. Had he been a warrior and gutted it out the last 2 rounds(like holy did for 11 with the same injury vs bryd) and won.....he would have gotten the better of bryd and extra credit for courage. but bryd beat him.

wlad did get the better hand of bryd, in dominating fashion

I said top level. Sanders was a one trick poney and very inconsistant, kind of like Peter. You could argue about Lewis but he never finished the job in that fight. I also think his habit of dropping his hands ridiculously low (especially the left) will bite him against quicker opponents. I dont think tonight's version of Peter is the best criteria to measure the two brothers. Still, tonight he pecked Peter into submission.

Again, that does not really mean or prove anything in this discussion though. Vitali showed on that night that he was a far better fighter than Byrd... because he outfought him throughout. OK, maybe Wlad would be a better/braver fighter than Vitali if he injured his shoulder??? That's all that can be taken from bringing up that fight.

Sanders blasted out Wlad, Vitali dominated him. Clear-cut.
