All you need to do is watch the fight films with your own eyes, Ali was a flat out better boxer than Lewis, faster, better chin, better stamina, better movement, mentally tougher when in a bad spot, beat better fighters, beat better fighters in their prime, was never knocked out in his prime.... you have no case here, zero.

That's because his own subjective H2H opinion is his only basis for rating fighters.

    1) mcCall and rahman are 3 levels below ali, i never said they weren't. :huh

norton used the jab a lot in those fights as well as the right to great affect, lewis used these punches in a much better way than norton. ali had huge problems with good boxers, hence why he struggled with norton. lewis is better in every department.

    2) ali was at his best when he was fighting **** and overrated fighters like the slow liston? yeah, that's a great argument. funny how he doesn't look as good when he fights better opponents. and ali being really smart is shot down when he continues to hit by the same left hook of frazier, who had nothing else BUT the left hook.

    3) ali struggled with norton in all their fights. :deal

i'm not disputing max being a good fighter, but to call him an ATG is going way over board. he was very basic in every department, good, but not great.

can't believe you give credit to him beating a middleweight, and former welter in walker. :-(

What would you guys have said if Lennox Lewis would have been knocked down by a 180 lbs guy? (And being seriously hurt, saved by the bell)

 i never said you were kicking off. walker is an ATG, but schmeling beating him way, way out of his natural division and past his best proves nothing. sorry, but it's the truth.

I wasn't talking about Louis though.

    Though I don't think it's unfair, it's the HW division. It isn't about p4p.
It's about h2h and if you happen to be naturally 60 pounds lighter it is their loss.

Ali. He beat the best of the greatest generation in heavyweight history, sometimes more than once.

Ali struggled with Norton ?... and ? :huh.... Lewis struggled with Bruno, Mercer & an old ass much smaller Holyfield... Robinson struggled TWICE with Basilio, does that mean he is not the best ever ?

Also... you have YET AGAIN confirmed to me that you know **** all about boxing history by the way you talk about both Liston & Frazier (2 men that rank higher than Lewis on my list)... if you don`t know about the fighters then don`t comment on them.

Muhammad Ali past his best holds victories over Foreman & Frazier who are top 10 HWs... he also holds 2 wins over Liston, also a top 10 on a lot of lists. All of those men were still very much good fighters when Ali beat them, particularly Foreman.

Check the poll out, Ali & Louis have blown everybody away (as usual)... Ali even having double the votes Louis has, do you think that much people are wrong & its only you that can see the truth ?.... try vice versa, saying Lewis is better than Ali is an insult to a serious boxing fan, you might like Lewis but try keep your feet on the ground when talking about him otherwise you don`t get taken seriously.

**** no. Basilio was a great fighter and Robinson was pushing 38.

Rhetorical question, I know, but I couldn't resist.
